do you guys buy ipad using the maxis bundle?

rm50/month for 2gb quota and rm75/month for 5gb quota

im thinking of getting the rm50

just my curiosity with the advance payment of rm1000

it says that it will be refunded equally for 5 months

so with my commitment of rm50/month, they are going to refund the rest (rm150) to me over 5 month?

a bit odd as usually the refunded value is lesser than the amount that we are commited to pay

Yeap... they are smart.

Your money will remain in your account and be used to deduct your monthly usage. I also paid RM999 advance payment when I signed up for S3. You wont get back the cash but it will be used to deduct whatever I owe them until its finished, then you start paying your bills again.

why they do it like that?

it makes the 1st payment to make the purchase steeper

it they scared that we will run away with the product, we are already tied to the 12/24 month contract
