There is a sharing problem in Mac that allows you to create Windows shares

Anyway , make sure you run the networking wizard in XP and make sure you use the 'WORKGROUP' as Workgroup......You would need to run the networking wizard on a PC !

Bear in mind , Vista would still *run* as GMA 950 is a DirectX 9 Card but minus the eye candy [you could turn it on but again it can't take it] , so its possible to run Vista

Pirated - Bah...*me*...pirate...muhahahahhahahahhahahaha! If you know the right place on the Internet and the right place...you can get virtually anything..including mac games...But again , thats if you know how to embrace yourself to the dark side.....Okay ,

MathLab ?...I thought there is a MathLab version for Mac. AFAIK , I have it installed on my PowerPC Mac [The Trial] , so it works....

Oh , you can run Windows [native speeds] on top of MacOS X itself. So you dont have to worry about dual-booting and stuff like that. Hate OSX ?. you can always dump it and run Windows !

Just leave it there , you might need it. I just keep the old iPod updater files there as well. You might never know when you would need it

Until then,

how's the Photoshop CS2 performance?

I heard its still sucky......Well , you would need to wait for the next version of Photoshop to support Universal then its going to blow

How fluidly does Windows XP run on a MB / MBP?

To tell you the truth , it just blows you away. In fact tests have shown that Windows runs better on a mac then on a Windows [wow...]

Are Apple laptops picky with matching memory? Could I pair a single 1GB with a single 512MB stick?

Nope , you can't. Its really picky...maybe the next generation MBP would fix it !

how often does a mac os hangs compared to windows??

Rare or None , even if it hangs , you could run other programs . Well , thats the beauty , unlike in windows explorer.exe hangs and you're pretty much screwed. Yesterday , my finder hung and I could still launch iTunes , sync and play games ,s urf the net....Even if the main core fails , of courselah i cannot explore my HDD and stuff like that. But hey , at least i could save my work and do a reboot

Windows XP itself is buggy , if you install it to any PeeCee or Macs...it would be still be the same...But IMO , it looks like XP runs better on a Mac then on a PC itself !

You can't upgrade the laptop unless you get it from the US. But again you could open it and DIY if you dont mind

If you want a simple laptop [bear in mind its on Core 2 Duo with a cool webcam , I am telling you iSight is superb]. It has wifi , bulit in modem and all other stuff

You should try OSX , trust me once you have touched OSX you would not touch Windows , ask the forumers here. Ask few of my friends here . Thats the beauty of Apple , the design looks soo hot and it looks so-cool.

You could fix that with some 3rd party MSN program such as aMSN

get aMSN if you want a real msn messenger which supports Video Chat. IMO , MAC MSN Messenger sucks big time. Get aMSN , a true MSN Messenger client for the MacoSX !

Thats the disadvantage of Glossy Screen Displays....MacBook Pro dont use Glossy Screen Display , so you would not face the same problem as MacBook.

Nope

Thats the beauty of Apple.

If you buy this month and then all of a sudden next month you'll see the same macbook (maybe with upgraded stuff) + Leo for the same price.
