government staff discount..
the rate you would probably get are the same rate with corporate rate...
yup...you will get "extra" benefit if you're the person who handle any government program held in that hotel....(marketing maa...)

and mind you that NOT ALL hotel have extra discount for government servant especially those walk-in customer...
and also mind you that if it's on peak season...the possibility the get discount are quite small

p/s:
the only hotel i'm sure you can get a discount for government servant are HOTEL SERI MALAYSIA even if you walk-in
i know that because it's my parents first choice because both of them are retired government servant
but if in KL city center area...i doubt you will get any discount for government servant unless you already know the person in charge of that hotel..
why not try hotel in putrajaya or cyberjaya???
which i think if in that area...chances to get government servant discount is quite high
