Hi, i am looking around for laptops but i dont know much about it..

1. Preferred Brand - any other than acer
2. Budget - 2k-2.5k
3. Usage - Multimedia (Adobe, photo editing, video editing, movie, music), documenting, heavy multitasking (i can't stand any lag-ness during multitasking )
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: 14'

depends on user. if you want the removable battery feature, go for Z580. Z400/Z500 battery is removable when the back cover is disassembled.

doesnt void warranty unless you damaged the parts.

Help me guys...
1. Preferred Brand - all except Asus( due to bad experience in their service after sale) and Acer
2. Budget - RM 3k
3. Usage - Gaming Dota2, and Torchlight2,
4. Preferred laptop -Lenovo, Dell, HP MSI
5. Screen size - 15

No many good spec 15" laptop like Z580 in RM2.3k price range
And you rule out Asus as well

But if you are bored with A55, this is considered even more ugly

Hello, im looking for laptop:

3. Usage: Gaming & A lot of video editing/rendering etc etc

actually my friend who study at france asked me to help him choose the laptop...
he is eyeing Asus G75 there, but still not decide whether to buy at france or malaysia.
he said the specs are a bit different.
there are some version with reflective screen, 750gb 7200rpm, no 3d..
while msia version i can only found the one with 1tb 5400rpm, 3d, but duno about the screen whether reflective or not..

Currently having dilemma in choosing these 2 laptops

Lenovo
*i5 3210M (35watts) higher clockspeed
*nVidia gt645m
*15.6 non-touchscreen
* slightly bulkier

Asus
*i5 3317M (17watts) lower clockspeed
*nVidia gt635m
*15.6 touchscreen
*ultrabook category

Budget about Rm2500

Mostly for online and occasionally gaming

15" and above as I don't travel with it frequently.

*Will be bringing it to oversea therefore need a brand which provide best international warranty.

Mind advising..?

S550CM belongs to ultrabook, ultrabook have higher price tag, that's normal.
Seriously Vivobook ultrabook series considered one of the cheapest ultrabook you can find in market already, if you can find any ultrabook below Rm1.8k 14 inch with i5 processor using Intel HD graphics, tell me.

Your recommendation of Z580 not best bang for buck. FreeDos version RM2299 RRP is real best bang for buck cause Windows 7 Home Basic not worth RM200 for now. If not Windows 8 hater why don't buy separate licence for RM300, right?

Also, keep in mind that not everyone need a i7 processor, powerful processor dissipated more heat and its uncomfortable. Seriously I don't think i5 ULV processor is a weak processor...

from what i know, XeactorZ isnt comparing. because i can see the fact that he is trying to say Z580 and Z500 have the weight and size of an ultrabook but higher performance than ultrabook.

i dont see XeactorZ is trolling. according to the price catalog made by our sifu [PF]T.J. , it is really quoted at RM2149 and weights 2.52kg. sos
XeactorZ is suggesting a non SLI version of Y500. the Y500 with single graphics card isnt too heavy. the SLI one is weighed at 2.9kg, while the non SLI is 2.5kg. and also, the person whom asking for suggestions said preferably, which means he/she can consider about the weight.
