Anyone got experience doing laser eye surgery at optimax seremban?

I'm planning to do laser eye surgery soon..which type of laser treatment suitable for me..my power is -1.5 for my both of eye..Need your advice...

@jialat, thanks, just complete femto yest, 8.2 k total. Dry eye is damn annoying one, glad I did it so I got full 1 week to recover (3 days MC + 4 day long weekend  )

But wah, the Dr damn fierce one, constantly scold me to focus one (my eye keep lari from the targeting laser pulak  but still successful

Is relex-Smile consider the best alternative compare to Lasik? Can anyone recommend please? thanks

it's been like more than a month after i did my lasik and the drops from optimax is finished

can i just purchased regular eye mo as my eyes are dry (only at times especially at night during driving).

Haiya, don't want to be so public one lah.

Anyway, it's now day 10 and vision is still quite blurry - apparently I have residual shortsightedness in one eye (I think they said 0.75) and residual astigmatism in the other eye. But as my initial power was very high, they said will take at least 3 months to stabilise fully.

Was a little worried that this may be due to deviation, but the Dr said there wasn't any and the procedure was successful as normal. So I guess I have to hope for the best over the next 3 months.

I have been reading this thread and also did some research on this topic. I am planning to go for some sort of surgery to correct my eyesight. My nearsighted power is L-450 and R-600. I am 55 year old and presbyopia already kicks in 5 years ago. I work with computers a lot and lead a active lifestyle, running, cycling , swimming and photography. What is the recommended surgery for me?

Hi @Jialat, according to your post #1666 in this thread, you said you wont recommend ICL unless  can't do ASA. May I ask, why?
I have done eye check up at both Optimax and Vista. Optimax recommends both ASA and ICL due to thin corneas, they have done many cases for ASA whereas ICL, it is only 2-3 eyes per month. On the other hand, the consultant at Vista super recommend ICL and said they have done more than few thousand cases already. Do you why the differences is so big?

Now I'm thinking whether to go for ASA or ICL. Glad to hear few positive feedbacks on ASA. But I can't find any feedback on ICL at lowyat, therefore quite worry abt it. Hopefully you can clear my doubt, thank you.

Okay... I have been wanted to do lasik for years... Done with the eye examination, no prob with the corneal thickness... But it was years ago, n I chicken out when need to schedule the surgery. 😓😓😓

So I have make up my mind I gonna do this time with no more excuse.💪💪

hi jialat it has been almost two months since i did rrlex smike on my left eye n asa on right. recovery wise relex was 6/6 the very next day but it is not stable. the eye with asa is so much clearer n i can see even beyond 6/6. The eye with relex smile i have slight astig and 6/12.  but i still have bad dry eye both my eyes.need regular artificial tear. Should have done asa both the eye even though recovery was slow but so im happy with my eye condition now..hope my left eye can improve.

May I know what's the minimum age to do laser?

I just did my FEMTO lasik surgery at Optimax TTDI with Dr. Stephen. Mantap! Can see clearly now. Just some glare at night while driving but the rest no problem.

What is mono vision? Why the doc don't recommend you for lasik? Instead of contact lens.

Maybe you can try 2nd opinion from another lasik. Vista.

I was recommend by the lasik doc. Than just consequence 1 of the working lady there is same age with me and done the same lasik as doc recommend to me. She explain her experience after the lasik. Enough confident and just do it.

If you can wait longer a bit, new tech is coming.

went for d eye examination last weekend. D optometrist said that i am only qualify only for ASA or relex smile procedure due to d high power on both eyes. After the eye examination, went back and did some research, found out that some website mentioned that lasek is not recommended for ppl with pupil size that is more than 7mm. However some site stating that current technology actually cater for pupil size that max to 9mm. Not sure whether this should be a cause of concern .

Hi @jialat. Sorry if you're not the right person to ask this..just want to know whether Optimax in TTDI offers other types of eye consultation and treatment..specifically regarding eye allergies to contact lenses?

I have slight allergies to contact lenses whereby i have a difficult time putting in my contact lenses into my eyes. I have no problem when i wear them..just to insert them into my eyes cause so much pain and slight tearing up.

Hi, i went for the consultation at optimal ttdi for lasik. I'm given a choice to do either femto or relax. Still thinking whether i should proceed with laser. I was told that my edge of the cornea is flatter than usual people, hence i'm more light sensitive. So i'm wondering if i get laser, it will be thinner hence flatter. Not sure whether i should? Would like your advice as i forgot to ask that when i'm there.

Once of the reason i want to do laser is my astig, as glaring lights hurt my eyes and i tend to feel tired easily. Would love to get rid of it of course the thought of not needing to wear glasses and contacts. Wearing contacts is kind of suffer for me, but no choice for work and all.

Sorry if you are not the right person to answer this. But do you know what kind of guarantee do optimax has for their patients? Does that means we can get 2nd laser from them for free if the nearsightedness is a problem again in the future? I read somewhere that it is a lifetime guarantee. Just want to know what kind of guarantee are they offering.

I did my laser with them about 9 years back. With dr azlina. Everything went super smooth as i was almost blinded with my previous vision. Was at 800 and 950 on both eyes. Got my almost perfect vision back (at least no spec for the past 9 years). Only recently that i think the clarity of it is not a 100%. And id like to know if i could do the enhancement (and if this is included in the guarantee). Do u know? Ive emailed them already. But not yet have the respond. It usually takes time. Let me know if you know anything about it. Thankss...
