wah still so expensive .... geng

those are bladeless, much accurate and faster recovery type.

u can go for much cheaper option using old technology, high risk of complication, less than 5000 for 2 eyes.

So far, optimax is still consider ok, but recent feedback from many customers saying their service is getting poorer and the management team is very arrogant.

I am sure there are spies from optimax looking at this post, please tell your arrogant management team to treat your patients better before losing more customer and destroy your own reputation! vmad.gif

@Jialat, My pupil size is too large > 8mm and not suitable for Lasik. Can I consider ASA and is ASA suitable for larger pupil size?
*
If your pupil is big, you will suffer from blur vision especially halo, glare, starburst and ghosting effect at night when u look at light or head on car light. So its best u dont do any lasik or even ASA. Treatment zone is not big enough to give u clear vision.

Hi Jialat,

Do Optimax still accepts referral letters? I contacted them and they said it costs 4.3k per eye, and another RM 195 for checkup. If yes, can I get a referral letter from you? Thank you!
*
Please pm me your details.

Hi Jialat,

I just did my eye examination and planning to do the FEMTO Lasik in two weeks time (ttdi branch). Can I still get discount with your referral letter? Thanks! =)
*
If u have already done your eye examination then most likely they wont give u any discount. This letter works only if u bring in on the exam day.

If optimax stop giving discount to all, please stop going there for lasik. They are not sincere in helping the customers to save money anymore.

I have contacted a very experienced corneal specialist in klang valley just now. He agreed to do the same femto lasik for RM 8200 only with my referral letter. He has a lot of experience in doing lasik in singapore and malaysia. He can do relex smile with much better result also. Once confirmed the date, i shall update everyone.

Good News to all.

Femto Lasik for only RM 8200 by a corneal surgeon, Dr Ainur will start in August is CONFIRMED.

He is more experienced in lasik and corneal case than optimax doctor and he is giving this special price to all my referrals. He is more thorough and friendly. Previously worked in Singapore National Eye Center with Prof Donald, he comes back to get married and started his clinic in subang medical center.

please pm me your name, hp, age and roughly when you would like to do the lasik. I can arrange direct with his nurse because currently he doesnt take walk in patient for lasik due to many medical patients to take care.

All lasik follow up will be done in his eye clinic in subang jaya.

Is there any charges on the initial test? if so, how much?

I have searched for Dr Ainur's profile, is he from Vista?
Thx
*
He has left vista and join SJMC nowadays. Initial test will be cheaper than optimax too, but now havent finalised it.

i did femto lasik at optimax 3 months ago, yesterday i went there for my 3rd follow up checking and found that my eye astig power increased 50 for both eye since last month, is it normal? being told that they need few more months to monitor my eye because its only short period after lasik or it may due to fluctuation, is it true??
*
surgeon poor skill can lead to astigmatism even before surgery there is none.

Hi, jialat are you around?
I just checked my eyes at ttdi here.
Unfortunately after the test I have been told that my cornea is too thin R452mm L447mm with Dry eyes test R2s L2s  I am not suitable for any laser lasik.
They intro me to do ICL  Implantable Collamer Lens.

However after 1 hours checking on my pupils after drop some medicines...  L8mmm  R7.7mmmmm  I cannot go for this last and only option as well.

Dont do any lasik if your corneal is so thin and dry, best to avoid ICL too, just stay with your contact lens or glasses. ICL is a bad option given your eye condition and its terrible they try to sell that to u.

Dear Jialat, thank you for the advise given. I would like to check with you also,
1.  is the no preservative vial eyes drop you recommended earlier good to treat my dry eyes?
2.  I have been dropped some dunno what medicine on my eyes to open my eyes pupils to the max yesterday. Is there anyway to close it back or let it back to normal faster?

optive UD is good for dry eyes.

after 8 hours the cycloplegic effect will wear off, not a good idea to put another drop to counter it.

i have done my annual checkup at optimax. the result is my left eye has -0.25 myopia which is actually and improvement. my right eye still have astig and myopia residual power left, but actually improved too. Kinda glad about it, just tat sometimes the eyes is too dry and the opto there recommend me to use systane ultra. shud i buy more vial one, or the 5ml one is ok actually? becos i found the non perservative one too expensive for daily usage.. The opto only say if use more than 10drops daily will irritate eyes. I dont think i use more than 10drops, probably 1-3 drops in the morning and 1-2 in the afternoon and 1 drop before sleep.

Great to know that your eyes have improved, u did femto?

u can use those with preservative, just dont keep dropping them and got dependent on it.

Hi Jialat,

I'm planning to get lasik treatmend done on this year.
My both eyes around -6.75 myopia and 4.0 astigmatism. Is lasik treatment recommended on such condition?
If so, any lasik center you would recommend in Klang Valley area with good offer?

Thank you in advance for your advice!
*
hi, astigmatism -4.00 is quite high and it also means that your cornea is very uneven, thus I dont think you are a suitable candidate, high risk of ectasia.

Jialat, any reason why tun hussein onn would not be a good idea? I did my test there and have a pupil dilation of 7mm recommended to do femto lasik.

A few corneal specialists there are old and surgery is irreversible once is done.
