Once again, since I'm using OBS, this guide will purely on OBS. Might add other guide if I've decided to try them out.

These are the optimal setting if you have a 5mb fiber connection.
Quality Balance : Means how good quality is your stream is, the higher the quality, the clearer the stream will be, more bandwidth will be used.
Max Bitrate/Buffer Size : It is the maximum speed your connection can upload, basically I leave it around 2000 kbps, and the buffer size at 1600 or 1800. Of course, if you have better connection, you should tune it up for smoother stream.
Audio Encoding : Leave it at ACC and 128 bit will do

Mode : Choose Live Stream
Streaming Service : So far it only support Twitch / Justin.tv as for the best connection to Malaysia.
Server : Choose Asia Singapore, it is the only server in Asia (hosted by Singtel)
Play Path/Stream Key : It can be obtained in Twitch. Dashboard -> Streaming app -> Show Key ; copy and paste it.
Auto-Reconnect : Leave it ticked
Auto-Reconnect Timeout : Leave it as default
Delay : This is where you want to set a delay between your stream and your game. So that viewers cannot be ghosting at your game knowing what your game plan is. If for MOBA, best to leave it at 2 mins delay/
Minimize Network Impact and Dashboard link : I leave it empty
Save to file : This is to save your stream into your hard disk.
Hot key : Choose your hot key to start and end stream.

Base Resolution: Leave it at default or set it at your monitor's resolution
Resolution DownScale : This is where to choose your stream to be 720p or 1080p. I have a 1080p monitor but I choose to stream at 720p for my lower speed connection. If you have a strong connection, you can choose to stream at 1080P.
FPS : Normally would leave it at 30fps. However if you have a good computer + fast connection, you should stream at 60p for viewers pleasure.

Basically I would leave everything here as default. Since I don't have an advance sound system, I basically set everything via comptuer's audio setting.
Desktop Audio Device : This setting enable user to change where is their audio source is. As I have 2 soundcard, one for my headset, another is for my speakers. So you need to choose which audio sound you want to be streamed. Sometimes I don't have friends to skype with, I will choose the audio source from the speaker ; If I have friend to skype with, I will switch it to my headset audio source from the volume setting, then change the Desktop Audio Device to the source where my headset sound is, then restart.

General : Leave it as default. Process Priority Class means to set your computer CPU's power on high or normal or low to process the livestream video. Setting as high might affect your game performance where as low might effect the livestream quality. So just leave it as normal
Video : x264 CPU Preset is very important setting. The faster the preset is, the higher the CPU usage will be but the lower the connection is required because higher convert rate, means lower video size is required to upload. So lower the CPU preset, higher the connection is required. Here you need to trail and error and find the best setting for your stream.
Also tick allow for 61-120fps if you want to stream higher than 60fps.
Audio : Higher quality re sampling result in higher audio quality in your stream, then higher connection and high CPU power is used.
Network : I just leave it as default

This is where to set your scene. Scene means the profile of your streaming, so that you can switch between games to desktop or any other picture or advertisement media.

In this tab, this is where all your game, picture, webcam, image, music info are stored
Right Click on the box -> will bring up the menu
Software capture is where you add your screen/game to the stream

Monitor Capture : means to show your whole monitor
Window Capture : to show only that particular window to the stream. Inner window is without the boarder, Entire window is included the boarder.
Capture mouse cursor is self explanatory.
Capture Layered Window : Don't know what it does. Never try it out. You can try it can tell me so I can add the description.
Sub-Region : This is where you set your screen region / screen size. like a particular facebook game or music player info but not the entire window.
Important : The higher the sources of your screen will be at the top. In my case my Open will always at the top of clock and clock will be always at the top of Spotify. So, if you want to show picture, clock, music info, personal info, overlay, put it all above the game.

Mic : Click the Icon to mute your mic, and the bar is to set the level of your mic volume.
Speaker : Click the icon to mute your speaker / sound output, the bar is to set the level of volume.
Settings : Settings tab
Edit Scene : Click on it to edit your scene ; as in re-size and relocate on the preview screen above. (Only works when Previewing or Streaming)
Global Sources : Never use.
Start Streaming : Self explanatory. Click to start Stream.
Preview Stream : To preview your stream before start streaming for adjustment.
Plugins : Manage your plugins. Plugins can be found on OBS's official website.
