I heard that dust slows down the computer..
I find it extremely annoying when i see a big bunch of dust trapped in between the casing fan leaves. Is there any effective way of keeping the case interior dust free? Any better way of cleaning other than using small brushes? The best way to build a fan filter?

as long as you have a fan in there, dust will go in..
if you want minimal dust, use water cooling systems...

Your PC case plays a big part in filtering dusts . This was the best cheapo case i bought , so far it's able to filter 70% of dust . Just like those A/C filters .
* Doesn't vacum creates static ?*
Anyway , those thick layer of dust that stucks those fans , i brush them off with art brush . If it still doesn't go off , use a cottonbud dip with a bit of water and clean it off .
The hardest part is the heatsink's fins . sweat.gif

I found something interesting from http://www.ehow.com/tips_3664_2.html

It says positive pressure inside the case helps dusts from coming in thru small openings. This means, more fans blowing air into the case than out of the case.

yeah negative pressure is like creating a vacuum inside the case. thats y dust and air will enter via the intake and also the small vents around the case to moderate the inner preasure to be the same as the outer pressure.

To be honest, all the solutions mentioned in this thread creates static with the exception of fan filters.

to bew honest, the only way you're not goin to get any static is by using compressed air, which is about 20 bucks for a can..or RM18.90 i think.
