anyhow .. what some ppl claim it protect engine also phail .. ur case it hit the lower part of the car... skid plate suppose to protect engine .. not lower part of the car .. if u wan protect lower part of the car.. RUBBERIZE the whole lower part..

if the STATIC OBJECT is to HIT ur ENGINE .. it would be much higher than ur bumper clearance.. now its only hitting the lower part..

u think ur bumper can clear an object taller that it ?
