Applied on 1 Jan 2014, and only found out today that my application rejected. But I cannot brain why they rejected, as I already using GSC platinum card and also having housing loan under them...

if you already own other Hong Leong credit card, they will reject your application

Huh... got such rules that if already the bank customers then cannot reapply?
In this case, time to cancel all my hong leong credit card and wait for 6 months... mad.gif

They are after bigger customer base, since existing cardholders are already part of their customer base, they do not see the need to approve wise card to existing customers.

Ya... what you said is logical but if this is how the bank operates, that's it la, time to switch bank vmad.gif ... Maybank does have such rule though.. last time use to hold their co branch cc and then apply maybank2card easily..

i hold GSC card and successfully applied... probably that is ex-EON?!

hmm.gif Yup, my GSC card is offered by EON bank last time. But after the merger, they ought to share the same customer database right? doh.gif Anyway, just my feeling that Hong Leong bank service is a bit underpar compare to the rest.

Now that there are massive  ex OCBC titanium customers available / applying for Wise card, existing Hong Leong customers are given lower priority.

Those who applied Wise card before end last year (when OCBC changed the rebate from 5% to 1%) got it easily approved but no longer now.

One way to counter this is to cancel existing Hong Leong cards and when you apply again next time, you are new customer smile.gif

shakehead.gif This is stupid lo if they really plan to win customers with such tactics....but I think currently this is the market trend. They have less interest in keeping existing customers and think that new customer is always better. If you increase your new customer pool but decrease your current customer volume... what is the point.

Anyway, to counter this, switch every year lo... haha... for example, the non important card, I choose citibank, when they no longer give me waiver after a year, switch to UOB... haha rclxms.gif

They will not tell the reason

rclxub.gif If they don't tell the reason, how to customers know if they should reapply, forget about it, appeal or etc? Should have just politely tell... if income didn't reach, or documents provided insufficient or if there is any mistakes so that customers can rectify and not waste both parties time. doh.gif lousy service
