Targeted market definitely same as Neo buyer who prefered performance over luxuries. Do you think Neo buyer bother the exclusiveness of Preve? They only bother the sporty features. Those dashboard are nothing with their boost,coolant temp, and oil pres. gauges later on installed. So old people should stay back and buy Preve instead. Leave this model to the targeted market. MYR 75k? Parents going to be butt hurt. Highway will full of youngster competing Golf(Polo can leave behind already). Can't wait another 2 years scenario.

Why are you getting so worked up? hmm.gif So people can't voice their opinion on the Suprima based on their own perceptions?
*
I also can voice out my opinion right? Maybe we can discuss more on the technical/features since they highlighted "fully loaded with built-in value". Name is name. Who ever holds the highest share in a company can decide what ever names they want to brand it.

u seems offended  laugh.gif ...u a proton salesman?..

y not just put it this way..if prefer performance..might as well get a proper sports car rather than a SUPRIMA S
*
Nah..I already own Preve. You got money meh to get a "proper sports car". Proton already use infamous Honda tagline "The Power of Dream". Youngster dream of performance with affordable price. Old people with tonnes of cash can go other manufacturer.

I might be wrong but it seems that you're implying Suprima is better than Preve in performance. Is Suprima going to be better (in performance)?
*
Kerb weight is lesser without the boot. ECU tune with Electronic Vacuum Pump(EVP) installed. TCU also mapped better than Preve for lighter acceleration except the final drive still the same. Those are the features that I currently aware. Anyone know more? But they used 17" wheel.. Emm..too much youngsters demand followed for low profile tyre..

Yes you can, but I'm more interested the way you conveyed your words that implied you resented Preve. It is called marketing. No one is gonna argue if a milk brand claiming their product as "the tastiest milk in the market".

Since the specs aren't officially out, you will have to wait. There's nothing to discuss until then smile.gif
*
The thrill of discussing before the specification is out what attracts me in Lowyat.net. I like leaks information from Lowyat.net when the time Preve still haven't out for sale for 1 month.

Also kinda miss the old Proton basher during that time. Where they go? Without them I feel like something is missing. Stunned with Preve success maybe? Oh wait, here comes the small egoistic brother of Preve. Now where should they begin?

Premium = CVT + turbo
Exec = Manual + turbo?

or

Premium = CVT + turbo
Exec = CVT?

50 kgs gain from that features? Erm anyone know why persona is lighter than Gen2? Is it the same case for Preve and Suprima? I never design a chassis so I am clueless. rclxub.gif

the rear door and the huge glass is the main cause. Even a wira aeroback is heavier than a wira sedan.

rclxms.gif I just happen to choose the right car without knowing it. Then why got people still prefer hatchback? Is it Sporty?

FC : 9.1L/100KM
Bank interest : 2.75% (0ther car 2.3-2.4.)

totally out from my consideration
*
Have you ever entered an induction engine driven market? that KP39 alone is MYR 6,534.51. Not included turbo intercooler MYR 1,391.38. What's your other consideration currently?

one flaw on the gear stick design (maybe only myself experience it, just sharing) - have your finger ever been pinch in between the automatic gear button (the one you press before you shift the gear from P or R to D)? My Preve have..  laugh.gif
*
Been using it for 1 year already and never been bitten by the gear knob. Maybe yours got bad installation until too much clearance. Dare to reassemble it back just for a try out?

spec suprima s vs preve

airbag - suprima s
seat - suprima s
luggage space - preve
engine - same engine but preve give better acceleration since lighter than suprima

family people usually prefer preve since more luggage space.

BUT...in hell proton.
this suprima s using same turbo like preve..highly same problem will happen to suprima too..

i want to change to international car. vmad.gif

What are your difficulties with BorgWarner turbo currently? Mind sharing?

I test drive a Preve 2 weeks ago. Couldn't feel the massive torque or power. Maybe the CVT made all the torque feel smooth.
*
Not the CVT does that, it's the BorgWarner electronic boost controller who control the 205Nm of torque and flatten it until 4k rpm.

So I assume after using Racechip with some overboosting, I can feel better power when I demand from it?
*
Yes, but careful with your CVT. CVT assembly cost MYR 12,740.00(though I think the bottleneck only the belt) . Highly recommend you convert to manual first.

Too bad the Preve CFE does not have manual transmission option. Removing the CVT and replacing it with the manual, will probably throw all the fault code on the stock ECU due to missing CVT, maybe even go into safe mode and no longer boost. Putting in IAFM+ manual transmission variant's ECU does not have turbo mapping.

Do you know we can cheat the sensor using resistor? So no check engine light come out. Piece of cake. brows.gif
