need clarification as i find my preve's hood has some spot/discoloration.
is it under warranty?can complaint?
*
got call from we care to send car for checking at sc.
right now confuse whether want to send to proton edar sc or eon sc in glenmarie?
anyone has experience regarding this 2 sc for complaints?how's the service?

QUOTE(vikneswaranc_17 @ Jul 24 2013, 12:50 PM)
in proton website, i dont know why they quote the price for 1st service is less then rm150..
*
that is if u choose semi engine oil.
also make sure no other additional acc like x1r or magnet etc.this will increase further the charges for 1st service.
my 1st service i took semi engine oil and oil filter magnet; cost myb rm60, thus the bill come out rm180 to 190 if not mistaken.

i personally called a SC and they quoted around rm200 including semi oil.. i dont know hows the calculation.. will check again when im at the sc..
*
yes, dat is how they quote potential customer.the highest possible charge...so when they ask custmr for additional charge, custmr will not argue much since still within the cost of rm200.
go there, ask for details of charges and u will c their tactics. brows.gif

Can anyone confirm this?
Does preve cfe come with proximity sensor?

This is true story happened to my friend.
He drive preve.

1. Went to the office and realize he forgot to bring the key. He can unlock the car and start the engine because his car is quite near with the living room where he keep the key. Distance between his house and office is around 30km. After he turn off the engine he can't start it back. He asked his dad to send the key. Lucky it is still near. What happened if he already travel more than 100KM?

2. He park his car at hotel's basement. Kinda rushing due to event. He took the key out (lock everything) but he forgot to turn off the engine. He didn't realize cos the engine is very quiet. After 2 hours the guard inform him about it.

I advice him to check with the SC cos I thought keyless key come with proximity censor? Why the engine did not turn off and give warning (as there is no key detected?) Is there anything wrong with his preve?
*
how did he lock the car?
as far as i know. i cant use the remote to open bonnet/lock the car when the engine still idle. hmm.gif

meaning we must shut down the engine in order to release the rear bonnet?
*
if u want to open bonnet using remote, engine must shut down.

also, if i were going out of the car for a while, i did try removing the keyfob but engine still running, tried to lock the door by remote and it didnt work.so i haf to turn off engine in order for the remote to be active/work/lock the door.

Isn't that natural for safety reasons ?
I test drove this Preve few days back - and I am quite impressed with its overall performance. It is much better than my wife's Persona ( already 5 years old) and thinking of upgrading to it.
*
haha...yes...
was just clarifying the test i did wif my preve.

guys, since its raining heavily this couple of week, my preve windows start to fog again.
its freaking annoying and dangerous...
was thinking to use those anti fog from rain x n glaco to help eliminate these issues.
is it advisable?
thanks

you may refer to the owner's manual book page 116 how to control fog in your car.
*
i have tried everything in the books plus tips from the world wide web.
but it doesnt icon_question.gif at all.even opening all windows will still not help on visibility.
dats y now want to resort to windscreen/glass treatment.

A vendor gave me a bottle of Syntium 5000 for free biggrin.gif

Anyway, after some research, many people recommend EA Autoworks to install reverse camera, since they said it does not void warranty, so I might give a try this weekend hmm.gif
*
i installed mine at them... thumbup.gif but make sure u make a call first...

So how much roughly did it cost you? The workmanship was good? hmm.gif
*
price u may contact with ea...
mind u dat it doesnt require much workmanship to install a reverse camera.
but the professionalism dat i'm after. thumbup.gif

QUOTE(gkl83 @ Sep 10 2013, 02:51 PM)
yes, Preve HU unit does ready for reverse camera... warranty wont void...
i installed it at EA autowork when the second day of my car...
bcos inside ur car is warm but cold rainy outside due to the differences of temperature, tat why cause the hog...
simply blast the air con with lowest temperature immediate solve the hog as hot air "removed" from inside your car...
*
when i blast the aircond to full, another problem arise, the outer window will fog.including the side mirrors. doh.gif
thus i was thinking using anti fog (inside) and glaco (outside). brows.gif
so if this is not a good idea, i may back off.... sweat.gif

just blast air con for short only until the temperature of car cabin and external environment until the balance level...

as long as there have differences of temperature of car cabin and external environment, i can guarantee the hog will happened no matter how...
*
i c...will try dat later... thanks... wink.gif

Not warranty for car paint; but warranty for car body IF car body rusted without any single external impacts...

*
OMG...then proton quality paint is low.
because my hood paint has a few uneven color of spot.
unable to take picture because using camera cannot detect the color flaw.mayb coz i oni haf cheap camera.
i tried polishing but no use also.
btw, my preve color is elegant brown.
