You can help by doing daily combing for ticks. I just use my fingers and pluck them out one by one. The fat ones I mean. Then you can use the medicated shampoo and bathe your dog and let it soak in the shampoo for a while before rinsing throughly.

My vet gave me a type of solution for ticks which was 100% effective. There was one time my dog had lotsa ticks so I mixed this solution with water into those handheld spray and proceeded to spray at my dogs hair. My dog was chained and was stationary at one place. After a while of letting him soak, I came back and saw all the ticks already on the floor running away and dying. Unfortunatly this medication did not have a label so I can't tell you the name. But its a clear liquid which turns white when in contact with water.

That sounds expensive but I would have to tell you I paid RM13 for a bottle of this liquid which was only 20ml. But it was concentrated so mix with water lo. Hmm...I will try ask ask my vet for the name of the medicine.

err.... some sort of collection instead of pressing it and letting all the blood ozze out cos you can't just throw it away or it will just breed again. So kill them my marination/suffocation in oil tongue.gif . But seriously after 2 months I threw the damn thing away....hehe.... dun wan to be reiminded by all the ticks in the jar.....
