What is the key towards muscle pain here after a workout session?

Like if i dont go workout for 3 days, then after that will get muscle pain.
But if daily workout, the pain won't be there.

Does the pain represent muscle growth?
So if no pain, does it mean that the workout is not effective?

Thank you.

It's called D.O.M.S

Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness

Muscle Soreness does not equate muscle growth. As long as your set/rep/weight increased, that's a good workout.

P/s - Soreness does not serve as a good indication to determine the effectiveness of the workout
