hello sifus, i'm thinking to change to iridium spark plug, which one better.. Denso or NGK?
*
Denso is theoretically better due to it's tip being finer, but more expensive. At the end of the day it's up to you. smile.gif

the plugs are Autolite plugs. finally remembered the name. drex recommended this since they out of stock for iridium.

highway FC caltex semi was near 8L/100km. now max 7.2-7.2L/100km pennzoil fully.
figure obtained from mostly night run Ipoh-PJ route obeying speed limit most of the time. reset meter before enter highway.

just started using fuelly back to track.
*
110 km/h? Then that's okay. Considering you haven't tamper with your exhaust system and fuelling system.

highway FC no complains since still quite stock

previous tank. pump RM50 BHP95 when fuel light blinked. fuelly show 9.9L/100km full city drive. light foot of course.
current tank, pump RM70 BHP95 when fuel light blinked. slight heavier foot. almost 150km travelled, almost half tank.
*
full city drive ka? you start and stop engine alot? Starting and stopping & idling are the main culprits in causing your FC to skyrocket.

normal working day lor. sometimes drive out for lunch. sometimes go out after work.
very little idling. start/stop car, let aircond compressor kick in, then jalan.
*
Starting your car for more than 3-4 times a day can use up as much as 1L of petrol. No kidding. It's even worse if they are coldstarts. So plan ahead, walk when possible (working hour lunch time, etc).

On a completely unrelated note, anyone here from Melaka? Ada free next week I turun Melaka? Can TT laugh.gif

How do you fill the petrol to the brim manually? Until you can see the petrol coming out from the hole? Looking at meter? Since meter is not accurate i doubt it works.
*
Pull out the nozzle a little (to continue pumping at a slower speed), and observe the tiny overflow hole next to the main nozzle hole. If it's close to full you can actually see petrol reaching up at that tiny hole.

QUOTE(Cavino @ Apr 22 2013, 11:03 AM)
What is the point of filling it to the brink near the hole, the expansion of the fuel later will just burn up more and wasted. So usually I don't bother with filling to the brink. Just stop where the pump click-stop although not always full. Unless I have to get to somewhere very far with no petrol station within those area.
*
Wasted? The moment you start kereta already close to 100ml gone. Plus that's just me. Don't like to make frequent trips to the station. And filling it up to the brim actually gives about 50 Kms more than till it clicks.

Plus, if you're worried about the petrol evaporating and wasting that bit, assuming there's no leakage in your fuel tank and your fuel cap is tight, it shouldn't happen. That's what the EVAP tank is for. If you're talking about cars made in the 70s & 80s, then filling it to the brim might be a problem. Modern cars now all comes with EVAP tank to catch the evaporated fuel, & feed it to the ignition chambers when you start your engine so that it wouldn't go to waste. Think of it like a mini NGV collector tank in your car.

QUOTE(advocado @ Apr 22 2013, 01:26 PM)
can you post a picture how the little hole looks like when it's full?

if got youtube video when you pumping bestest!

i really sked the petrol jizz all over the place if i overpump.
*
It won't jizz la.. sweat.gif As the petrol comes close to the mouth of the tank, the nozzle detects no suction and will click by its own.. You just have to tarik tarik a bit to fill up.

QUOTE(advocado @ Apr 22 2013, 01:37 PM)
give me drills or video of petrol overflow from small hole pls.
*
Ok. Then you wait lah when I full refuel before I go melaka next week. Itu pun if I remember la ye.
