But if you look at the S4 colors vs the actual wallpaper - its colors are in fact more accurate than the HTC One ( probably due to its brighter effect, colors tone down)

This is a higher spec phone vs your butterfly
If your butterfly is ok no reason why this will lag
Really crazy I must say to have 281 app. Do you really have time to use most of it?
it is not the number of app but more on what type of app you installed n what type of app is being multitask simultaneously

it is basically another music file format but higher quality than mp3. I hope you know what is mp3
google yourself to understand better n how to have your music converted to it

No need to even use headset
The audio quality through phone speakers of HTC1 is way better than S4. I rate a 5 only for S4 vs a near 10 for HTC1
Note2 audio I deem is even better than S4

Calling existing HTC One owners. One question :

Is the soft buttons well and brightly lit up and you can see it very obviously while in daylight. My unit was asked to claim warranty as it doesn't stand out but obvious only in dim and dark surroundings only
Don't want to waste a trip to Singapore and later found out is normal

I wont say is really antennagate issue but the 3G signal is weaker than note2, s4 n xperia Z. In same place on same maxis postpaid download speeds different by up to 500 to 1000kbps is common. That is why I have said quite similar to butterfly

Different user different taste/perception
I dont find S4 that lag as described by him. Infact the HTC One lags very slightly n is worse slight jerky in blinkfeed but I still deem acceptable. I would say xperia z smoothest UI of these 3 phones

No I will not get this as I prefer S4 over it

Based on my previous 2 days and past 1.5 day using it, there are no serious issues
My advise is when you buy, check properly for the gap problem. Apparently it is better in the subsequent batches

Local blogger/reviewer Amanz also preview a similar poor unit but he never mentioned it. I think he did not noticed it. It is so obvious those gaps. Look at his photos - the front just below the speaker and the top end near the power button. Those gaps are definitely unacceptable

I would say the S4 is no way a much better phone than the HTC one. Just that the S4 appeals to me better only ( its removable battery, external SDcard, better battery life and better 3G signal ). The major pro of the HTC One over the S4 is its very good audio quality and better camera shots under lowlight. Both phone has its pro n cons

The firmware update 1.29.401.13 will bring about camera improvements. Sadly is now only available to Europe market only. The set ( Spore Singtel unit ) I bought is now at 1.29.707.3

We see a lot of such I called parachute users who just jump in n ask question n expect immediate answer. They dont bother to read page 1 or at least past 2 to 3 days discussion.

HTC harbour court Spore said my HTC One soft buttons is perfectly normal n is default
It is still unsatisfactory to me as it doesn't lit up sufficiently distinct enough . Well have to learn to accept it

Not everyone can afford to buy S4 now n than sell at a loss probably at least rm300-500 than buy HTC One

The key issue I would say is how many units can they push out to the market
Unless they can meet demand those who cannot wait will opt for others
Their very much slower production rate is a big constraint

HTC One is your choice than
For audio quality it thrash the S4. A score of 9 for it vs a 5 for S4
I have used both phones

Did you try xperia z. I find its ui is smoothest vs htc1 n S4. I have use all these 3 phones
