" But rising tensions on the Korean peninsula should not be taken lightly, say experts, noting that there is a risk of miscalculation by both North and South Korea if the 30-year-old Pyongyang leader, Kim Jong-un, pushes the boundaries too far. "

But experts point to the risk of underestimating Kim Jong-un's threat. "There is a risk that North Korea doesn't know where the red line is, and they engage in provocations which turn into a full scale conflict," said Patrick Chovanec, chief strategist at Silvercrest Asset Management, adding that the new leader's inexperience is a concern.

Wars always have great impact on the markets, does not matter which one is more powerful than others.

Iraq Wars were clear examples

i never hope for war.
just if really got war, can earn money from there.
by earning money from stock, won't make the war more serious (or less serious).
selling weapons to them to make money is another topic.
stock market is for making money, its nature.

hi there, i would like to check with sifus out there. icon_question.gif icon_question.gif icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

Anyone would have kept the historical data of this kind of chart ? for the past 1 year? the ideal would be past 15 months?

Currently on the bursa website it only shows past 1 month's data.

But would anyone download it and keep it for themselves?
Can you share with me ?

Thank you so much ! icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

How can a poor, little and lonely despot with outdated ideologies create really bad permanent impact on world's economy ? We have a war right at our backyard with the "sulu sultanate", but who (international trading/financial communities) cares laugh.gif !?

However, you might add to unnecessary blind fear and jitters to noobs and they will suffer, just like those who threw their stocks away with the 50 pt drop on election announcement. hmm.gif icon_idea.gif

Cannot simply ignore top 5 military superpower.
They also have the most number of military reserves.

They also possess banned weapon since they are not under jurisdiction of the UN.

Even one has nuclear weapon, one still needs long range missile capability to send those nuclear war head to the opponent.
So far, the capability of the long range missiles is still not proven/showed.

Have tons of bomb or nuclear war head also no use, if cannot deliver to throw out to the target.

I have a feeling that the North Korea and South Korea tension is being orchestrated by an another power. Most probably US government or US defense companies. We all know that US is a war economy, and this North Korea vs South Korea war is just what it needs to spur its economy from the current sluggish economy. The US has cut military and defense budget. I am sure these defense companies are looking for new customers, or increase sales to existing customers. This war will push Japan, South Korea to buy more equipment for defense purposes. Even if this is only a war of words and not an actual war, these countries will need to buy equipment to boost up their own defenses to be ready for any war that might or might not happen.

Their nuclear missiles will be knocked out in mid flight if the major powers have their ways. Why don't they conquer the world just because they have nuclear weapons ? I am sure they are dying to do that if they really have the capabilities.

OK, me too free today ... all those noobs investors out there, don't let this frighten you, it shall not be a big issue as far as the world's economy is concerned.

And I am going back to my cave.
