Maxis FTTH is a big piece of shit right now, I can't use Google DNS, can't use their regular DNS, always Facebook got proble, sometimes Facebook works but chat doesn't, sometimes certain websites (totally random websites) doesn't work. What the hell is this? Fix this DNS shit already, it has been months.

Anyone torrented Game of Thrones? People from USA getting cease and desist letters from their ISPs.. i know we probably won't but just asking if anyone here has torrented Game of Thrones.. we Malaysians shouldn't be worried of pirating hm?
*
Well, if the original owner decide to pursue using the law... You should be worried since Malaysia have anti-piracy law...

Agree.. This Maxis and Astro thing is really giving problem on the support.. You call astro , they say MAxis, u call maxis they say astro.. Can't even solve my public issue yet coz i've given up.. They point to each other..

I got public before they upgraded to Astro, then when AStro came to install.. it reverted back to private.. Asked both on how to change to public back, they point to each other
*
I did ask Maxis just now since my IPTV installation is on 2nd Julai... Maxis reply public IP can be requested from Maxis... I don't know if it's true or not, i certainly hope it's true... Since i did mention Astro IPTV + Maxis FTTH inside my question...

Just finish talking to Astro Staff (Tech/installation maybe)... And i did ask regarding public IP... And she kinda confirm it... "NO Public IP once you convert"... cry.gif

And i just buy Synology NAS & No-IP service to do something with my fiber broadband... She kinda give me some time to rethink again to proceed or not...

Bug astro.. then they say maxis problem.. I straight say **** you i called ****ing maxis and they say ask astro for the public ip  flex.gif

they called me back say cannot switch

i told them straight the reason why i chose fibre coz of my cctv or else i stick to streamyx then i say if cannot then cancel lo..

5 minutes later they call back teaching me how to change to public ip  rclxms.gif
*
Well that what maxis told me also... and astro on the other hand keep say they give what maxis give lol... will tell the installer to immediately process the public if can...

QUOTE(wiraone @ Jun 25 2013, 01:04 PM)
Don't need to bug astro, just call maxis and ask them for a public IP, they'll ask what is it for, just say security camera .. they'll do that there and then. At least this what I did the last time I asked for a public IP smile.gif
*
That only apply for Maxis fiber only since Astro IPTV the account belong to astro not maxis...

Once you are on Astro IPTV, u need to contact ASTRO... call Maxis no use one.. they will say it's ASTRO. then ASTRO say its Maxis.. but ASTRO was the one doing the instsallation.. guess its correct to bug ASTRO.

Calling astro now to get my public! Maxis told me it's already public but i can't configure it.. definitely ASTRO

QUOTE(pikaphebat @ Jun 25 2013, 05:33 PM)
just called ASTRO, they say public ip are not offered with Maxis IPTV package.. then bug that guy saying that nobody mentioned about this. Why would someone subscribe to them with all this limitations..

Say that need to check to management bla bla..gonna bug them everyday till i get it
*
Do report back once you got your public IP...

On the other hand, Astro is playing with me... cry.gif Yesterday ppl call confirm everything and even give installation date but today got other ppl call in and said no remark has been made on my installation note... No installation date also... doh.gif

Now waiting for another installation date... I also ask to put remark for Maxis staff to make it public ip on installation...

So you gonna pay RM25 monthy for that, so at the end of the day, the savings from the Maxis+Astro IPTV would go for this, it would back to square one
*
Astro IPTV VOIP is RM20 for RM30 credit... I'm gonna cancel my existing voip since i barely using it...
