Hi guys, I saw a thread for Inti International University Nilai but none for the subang campus so I decided to create one. We can discuss here about the university and student of INTI please share your experience with us.

I applied in that INTI College Subang, I got offer letter for Diploma in Mass Communication. Is there anyone doing Mass Communication can share their experience ?

If any SPM,STPM leavers want to join that college, I think to do most of the courses in that college you will need to have 3 credits in SPM or O-levels to do diploma and 5 credits for foundation. In some courses having credits in math and english is mandatory.

They have 3 different accomadation Purple House,Subang Aveneu. I liked the Subang & Purple both, anyone staying there can you please tell me details how are they.

It depends on what you prefer. I'm going Diploma as I can get straight into to the 2nd year of the degree once I'm done with the diploma course. Besides after doing diploma I can go to other university as well if I want to continue my education also I can start doing some jobs when if I do foundation I wont be able to do job and foundation course is only recognized in that perticular university.

I can give you the insight scoop of the campus. Ask me anything. The new environment is pretty decent lah. Nothing much tho.

Btw dont stay in purple house. Its crazy overpriced and you only have rm50 quota for monthly electricity usage.

Stay in My Place instead. Its an apartment located right opposite of INTI only. Costs WAY cheaper than Inti's accomodation.

ah thanks man ! Can you tell me details about the environment and if there are good restaurant, store near the college ? what about opportunity for playing sports ?

Yeah I checked my place apartment only saw in picture, very reasonable price but I saw the room does not looks so clean :/ and not so nice comparing to purple house and subang avenue. The prob is I have asthma and allergic to dust etc so the plae must be decent and clean with better ventilation system..Do you have any other dorm/apartment to suggest except my place ? Thanks man

I'm also going to do diploma in mass communication in inti subang, I have stated my reason above. Basically by doing diploma I can save 1 years besides once I'm done with diploma I can get job while after doing foundation or A-level/STPM I can't.

About your choice on doing mass communication, how do I know if it's right or not ? If you like broadcasting, writing or wanna be PR.. Like media related things with little bit of techy then I think you should do the course.

Hello! I just registered for their AUP a month back biggrin.gif

You probably should wait for a senior to reply tongue.gif . But for my first impression, their facilities seem quite alright, but the library's a bit small and it was super crowded when I went to visit. Not sure about the cost of living around Subang, but food can be a bit pricey. As for quality of education, INTI seems to have a pretty impressive track-record for their AUP program with a handful of students managing to get into really impressive universities.

Better register quickly though if you decide to take AUP smile.gif. Orientation's on the 27th, and subject enrollment has to be on the 22nd / 23rd.

Yeah I heard it's better than Taylor's at ADP (plus Taylors fees is downright bloodsucking) and I'm not even sure if I can afford 2 years in the states. As for the rest...can adapt la. Yess I gotta make a decision REAL soon >< are you from KL or another state?

WOW~ Finally I've found a thread for IICS. rclxms.gif lol. Just want to share my experience in college. I started with my foundation in business IT last year, now Im doing my 1st year business degree under UOW. Overall I think all lecturers who have taught me are good, they have many years of experience, except for one or two, okok la. But most of them really care for students. Even now I'm in degree, my foundation lecturers still remember me and we sometimes have a small chat when we meet. biggrin.gif

Food SS15 has lots and lots of restaurant. and if their business close shop dont worry, new shop will open within few months lol~ sounds scary but its true. Since my last year foundation until now, I've seen many shops closed down and new shops open. Good thing is that we can try new food. brows.gif

The main problem I think its parking. (Or maybe its just my personal problem, because INTI Subang provide parking service but its not cheap. :/) Few months before there's a free parking area but recently even that place also need to be paid. cry.gif I think there's not free lunch in this world, everything's has to be paid. sweat.gif

Ohh and one more thing I want to share is about my studies. After entering my degree only then I realised the HUGE between foundation and degree. Foundation is like my honeymoon year. Lecturers are so good spoon feeding us sweat.gif but when I reach degree, haha~ all need to do by myself. Of course we can always look for lecturers when we face problem, they always willing to help, but I kinda miss my foundation life. :') Anyway, I understand that I need to step out from comfort zone and face challenges. If not can't improve.

I think I typed too much. Sorry I don't know whether what I said above is useful or not. Just sharing my thoughts and sorry for bad english. tongue.gif

Hmm. I am not sure about Subang campus' factors, but to me Nilai primary university is excellent enough. I dropped for the surroundings since initially I went there. Most of the instructors are excellent.

Hi xhuey, thanks a lot for sharing your experiences, that is definitely helpful biggrin.gif Nice to know that lecturers are good, after all that's what is more important Haha

Well, I'm from different country coming Malay only for study so I wont have car so parking wont be a problem Haha for student like you, I hope soon INTI will come up with parking facilities which is affordable. Since I saw many people complaining about that single.

well, I had a visit in INTI in the first week of June to see and book my accomodation. I visited the area and I liked it. Specially Asia Cafe biggrin.gif and yes there are some great fast food chain where I would love to spend my times biggrin.gif Although since I'm south Asian I could not find much food restaurants which serve south asian dishes except few indian restaurant near 7 Eleven.

I will be staying in the Purple House 2 for first 4 month. What about you ? Is there other nice places to stay in Subang which is pretty affordable ? smile.gif

Isn't the Purple House too expensive? hmm.gif Even though it looks really luxurious...

By the way, I was just wondering if anyone could tell me, how long they take to reply to the online application cause I'm wondering if I should start panicking or not icon_question.gif

It is expensive I will say very expensive indeed because the room I took cost me 1200 RM which is a lot for me but I'm only gonna stay there for 4 month since the location is good and it is under INTI so my first few month in Malaysia gonna stay there.

Application where INTI or Purple House ? Sometime they take long or sometime they take long to reply but I will suggest you to apply through campusmalaysia.com they are really good, reply fast answer all your question and the best part is they have whatsapp and viber so free instant support through cell haha

but if u meant about applying to Purple House then I will suggest you to apply asap cause most of their room already booked.

Hey Biral, sorry my late reply. Was busying with my final exams. sweat.gif

Oh wow, so you're international student. Yup, purple house its quite expensive, and even the Subang Avenue too.
Im staying with my family, less than 10 mins distance travel by car, quite near. brows.gif

Hmm.. cheaper accommodation.. hmm.gif If you can try look from those housing areas around Suabng, or the My Place apartment opposite Asia Cafe. I think there'll be cheaper. Not really sure about it though. sweat.gif

Haha, no problem. Hope you did well in your exam smile.gif

I have checked MY Place Apartment, I did not like it well sleep.gif Not so clean you know.

Although, recently I found some good student house in Subang near KDU College heard they are good and in pretty cheap. Only disadvantage is it's 10-20 mins from INTI.

depends what type of student you are.
if you are someone quiet, then inti nilai suits u better.. as this is campus life.

If you likes entertainment stuff, makan place, etc then inti subang will be better option.

Just sharing my thoughts and sorry for bad english. tongue.gif
*
i know this reply comes at a delay time.. i assume that you are in your final year.
All i have to said, enjoy your college/uni life while you can. Once you graduate and start working.... thats where you will start to see the difference between study and working.

For me, i think college/uni life are honeymoon years smile.gif... wait till you start working.

I'm a graduate of INTI Subang. Used to stay at a shop lot accommodation that's located at the same row as McD. Rent is quite high but because it's only 3 mins walk from campus + everything is included in the rent (wifi, electricity, laundry, cleaning, etc). Landlord is really nice and helpful and the place just opened in 2015 so it's relatively new. I was the first batch to stay there so I had all the new Ikea furnitures lol

Other cheaper options would be Rajawali, the apartment building right next to the campus or the other surrounding houses that rents out to students. Some of the houses rent out rooms for RM500/month but be ready to share the space with at least 20 people. Do PM me if you want to know more.
