however, i noted that 4.2.2 isn't really power efficient. it loses too much power for no apparent reason. idling consumes more battery than me using the phone in real life..

changing kernel to Redpill 1.45 AOSP doesn't do any help, it was as bad or worse in battery life.

just to get some advice from you all regarding the charging rate of my N2. i used the original usb cable and when i check with GCC , the current_avg shows 900 mah, but when i tried to use another usb cable , current_avg shows 1700 mah. just wondering am i reading the correct current? cos the current_now for both usb cables are showing the same reading but not the current_avg and current_max. if this is the case, guess my usb cable is defect and is it included in the warranty?

In the 3DMark test, it is strange that the Mali400 in the Note2 does extremely well in the physics test, and fairly well in the pixel test, while it sucks in the polygon/geometry test. I wonder what kind of design tradeoff did ARM or Samsung make to end up with this result?

Or else, as pointed out in the comments, it could be due to the activation of less than all graphics/cpu cores. It doesn't make sense to have such low polygon counts, as modern games spit out more polygons and textures than physics calculations, and the chip designers know this.

I also suspect that, since 3DMark has a DirectX heritage, that may explain why the Surface Pro scores extremely well since it runs on DirectX.

I get the feeling there is some selective benchmarking here  coz you see the Note 2 in a few tests, while it is nowhere to be seen elsewhere, especially in the battery test charts. Brian Klug is obsessed enough to indicate that there is a barely visible (ie under high magnification only) gap at the speaker grille. He seems to ooze "I'm a fanboi" unashamedly.

Otherwise, it is a pretty good writeup as expected of an Anandtech article.

Dual note is a good rom. Use it before but forgot the battery life good or not oledi.

I realised the folders i have created on my screen, the moment i tap on it to open the list of apps, it's quite lagging on different home screen. But the folders in the main screen is quite smooth. I tested on my nexus 7 and it was super smooth.

Wonder is it because of the its touchwiz?
