If it sounds like army truck, it is likely the wheel bearings.

Asphalt marks/grooves (e.g. crawler tractor track damage) can also sound like this, but only at certain locations.

You may try to change wheel/tyre (eg spare tyres) and see if any difference, to narrow down the causes.
