You appear to be writing a review article about the importance of internet advertising, don't you? If you plan to do research on devising novel methods to enhance the effectiveness of internet advertising, then probably you'll need to refine the research title.

As previously stated by you. But generally, you should include the following (1)-(4) in your proposal:

(1) Describe the background and problem - to be summarized into a problem statement
(2) Set performance criteria - S.M.A.R.T. requirements that your proposed solution to the problem must fulfill
(3) Investigate Prior Work - finding out what has been done to address the problem in the past
(4) State objectives - a statement of what a specific, clear, and detailed task is intended to achieve

Expected number of pages: 10-15 including cover sheet and title leaf

I assume you are not writing to apply for research grant, because this is only Phase 1: Analysis. If your research topic is attractive and meaningful enough to make a real impact, then 99% of chance that your proposal will be accepted. Phase 2 is about writing Hypothesis, and you can work out with your research advisor, once your proposal is accepted.

Correct literature citations are a proof that you know the rules of scientific working. The selection and quality of the literature citations document how intensively you have read about the “state-of-the-art” and the established theories. They support the your opinion, they exculpate you from the responsibility for the contents of the citation (but not from the responsibility for the selection of the citation), they point out your accuracy and intellectual honesty, they underline your authority and credibility and they permit that the readers can check the facts. 2. internet advertising can be lack of information
3. some company website not updated
4. budgeting problems
You can include these in the Problem Statement and make sure your grounds are substantiated in the Prior Work.

Partly correct. You actually read journal articles to determine the gap in the literature. Gap = something not done before and you will be filling this gap. thumbup.gif

I'm curious whether you are writing this thesis at the undergraduate, Master's, or PhD level?

If it is just a descriptive research at the undergraduate level, your title would be fine along that line, "The importance of.....etc..." or "The factors contributing to....etc...". But then again it depends on how your university dictates how your title should be written.

If you are doing a correlational research whether at the undergraduate, Master's, or PhD level, you might want to change your title to relate to the variables you are examining. And your problem statement has to be written thoroughly to which Critical_Fallacy and bb100 had already explained to you.
