I've been seeing quite a few newbies using the 1 click method to root, flash & etc2 modding.
I highly suggest you guys to learn the basic method to install adb & some of it's commands. It'll be useful in case your devices bricked.
It's fairly easy to repair software brick with android devices (provided you have unlocked bootloader of course).

Regarding Tasker, the UI has been updated but the app setting still remain bit hard for average joes to understand.

It takes time to understand and learn.

Anyway I prefer to do things by myself. laugh.gif so needless for me to get it.

You can use Tasker for profiling too. Switching to certain profile based on predefined conditions (eg. Time of day, location, etc.)

Anyone have working ways to bypass region pricing? It's $1.99 on the states but $2.86 here rclxub.gif

Screw discriminate pricing despite that it's already darn expensive after conversions cry.gif

Tried market enablers, VPN, changing my Google Account to US but to no avail. sad.gif

I'll give you 1 case.
1 of my friend bought Nexus 4 around same time as me.That time Nexus 4 shipped with Android 4.2.Majority of the rooting tools were not updated to 4.2.1.So when my friend updated his Nexus 4 he cannot unlock & root because he had to wait for the tools to be updated to support latest version of Android even though the rooting/flashing method remains the same.

Honestly for me the tools like "Nexus 4 All in 1 Toolkit" contains too much buttons & whatnot which confuse me sometimes.
I rather type words in command prompt than click 10 buttons that I'm not exactly sure what it'll do.

If you are the person who do around 5 tasks with your phone before you go to bed & after you wake up I suggest you to use Tasker.

Anyone know any CM10.1 theme which use the default AOSP style but have orange icons?

Agreed nod.gif
Moreover by doing things manually, we could actually learn what's the underlying concepts or commands that are used to unlock/flash/root the device and these knowledge might come in handy someday.

Yeah but still, I don't like it when they priced it higher for us when the currency is already going against us tongue.gif icon_question.gif

The price shown to you was $1.99 before checkout? Or $2.86.

Edit: doh.gif Just went to try and checkout, indeed it charges $1.99 instead of $2.86. Got trolled by Google twice. Previously another case was; the price shown at $1.99 but I was charged $2.14 instead rclxub.gif

Does this mean that we have to cancel the higher priced transaction and retry later for the listed discount price? hmm.gif

No idea about that. If I'm not mistaken, I paid $1.99 during checkout because my Credit Card was linked with an U.S. Address instead of my home (Malaysia) address. As I recalled previously during my second SwiftKey purchase, the listed price was $2.14 instead of $1.99 (if accessed to US store without logging in); and during checkout I paid $2.26. That time my CC was still linked to my Malaysia address.

http://www.lowyat.net/2013/03/29/6574/new-...-design-tweaks/

Short summary:
The LG-made Nexus 4 by Google has just gotten a subtle design tweak. There are now little rubber nubs at the back of the phone that very slightly lifts the phone up and crucially, provide greater friction against slippery surfaces. Also, as Android Central notes, the nubs now allow for fuller sounds emanating from the Nexus 4′s speaker.

It is, however, unlikely that the current batch of Nexus 4 phones in the local market will be this newer version. On the other hand, those who purchase the device from bulk importers from the US Play Store might very well receive Nexus 4 devices with the new tweaks.
