QUOTE(alpha91 @ Apr 7 2013, 11:57 PM) WTA, is that normally all themes can be support by any custom ROM ? I'm not really sure about this but you will have to see whether is it for cm or for others. It might not be compatible when the theme is for aokp and your rom is cm. You can try though.what is nandroid backup for ?do i need it since i already install CWM ? |

That means you don't have Cwm to be permanent in your recoverywhen i enter recovery mode , it shows a android with a exclamation mark. is that related to ROM manager ? i flashing a lot of times with ROM manager because i keep miss it. Flash again the run Cwm again |

QUOTE(samlee860407 @ Apr 8 2013, 05:36 PM) guys, any recommendation for a keyboard app that can let me type chinese better? You can try and use go keyboard.i do type chinese occasionally, but when i choose the input method as "chinese pinyin - google pinyin" , the space bar is located too middle of the screen, leading me to always hit the 'full stop' button instead of spacebar hence, now i need to set my keyboard as "english (UK) - android keyboard", then when i want to type chinese i only swipe down from the top, change the keyboard to "chinese pinyin - google pinyin" , type, then change back to "english (UK) - android keyboard which is really really troublesome. any nice one to share? |

QUOTE(alpha91 @ Apr 8 2013, 06:00 PM) want to ask that is there any difference if i download ROM with ROM manager compare to those in xda.dev ? it is custom also right ? yes it is. as an alternative, you can download goo manager also. auto updates for your rom. but it depends whether the developer upload their rom to goo manager or not. |

QUOTE(alpha91 @ Apr 8 2013, 06:39 PM) I see... ok. what custom rom you've installed? cause most (or maybe all) custom rom comes with superuser/superSU installed. and, is that after install custom ROM then i need to root again ? i cant see my Super SU FYI, i didnt do any backup because my phone is still empty check settings for superuser tab. If there is it means that it's rooted. I would recommend you to install superSU on top of superuser if superuser is installed. cause superuser gave some apps problems. |

QUOTE(alpha91 @ Apr 8 2013, 06:48 PM) Cyanogen Mod 10.1 from ROM manager. when you root using the flashable zip on stock rom it uses superSU. but nowadays rom devs use superuser cause it's open source now. so yeah CM is now using the open source superuseri remember when i root ( stock ROM) it has a SuperSU in my apps drawer. so it is superSU ? now i check in setting> system, it shows a '# superuser'. QUOTE(AweFace @ Apr 8 2013, 06:50 PM) Welcome! hmmm, what kinda customization you want? You can read it up in the first post. |

QUOTE(alpha91 @ Apr 8 2013, 06:57 PM) so, is that mean even i dont backup, the root still there ? it's not like that. because i am modding my phone... need help from here The root is still there because superuser/superSU and the binaries is preinstalled in the rom itself. So let's just say you're on stock unroot but unlocked and your recovery flashed, and you flash custom rom, you haz root, you winrar. |

QUOTE(aaron_15ryderz @ Apr 9 2013, 11:35 AM) use his app. Franco Kernel Updater.or edit via file explorer (I recommend ES file explorer) obtain root mount, write for file explorer go to /sys/class/misc/mako_hotplug_control and there will be first_level, second_level, third_level and suspend_frequency. open those file as texts and edit. first level is high load threshold second level is medium load threshold third level is low load threshold suspend frequency is max frequency at screen lock |
