Thanks bro...

Seems nandroid is the culprit...

Now much better... Free space @ 6GB...

But how come my storage analyser say I have 11GB free instead?
*
Regarding the discrepancy in free storage, I have no idea, maybe it doesn't include /system? What did Disk Usage says? Could just be an issue with the app not reading them properly

Best for you to call the centre first and ask whether they have a replacement screen in stock. Other forumers have posted that their screen was replaced within one hour or so IINM. I might be wrong, do a search and you'll find the posts

Hello,

I was wondering since you guys have been using this phone for a few months now does it still perform fluidly like it did when you first got it? Or has it become laggier?
*
It won't. I have used the phone since the second day it was launched in Malaysia, and I now have only 700 +- MB free space left. No lags on my end. If your phone is lagging, it might be because you are running a lot of apps as background services, or you have tweaked the CPU settings.

Hi guys, my DiGi 3 months contract is coming to and end, planning to change to different company.

Reason for changing is due to poor signal at my house, university, and my girlfriends house. Whenever I check my battery performance, the mobile network signal would be mostly yellowish.

Since we cant take advantage of Maxis LTE, which telco has the best HSPA+ speeds and coverage?
*

if you want to fully maxed out the speed that Nexus 4 can offer, go for carriers that supports DC-HSPA+. Maxis and Umobile support this and on best effort, you should be able to get speed somewhere north of 20 mbps. My personal best is 22 with Umobil, ssomeone else managed to get 24 from Maxis.

This depends on your location too, at my rented place in Sunway, I am getting around 10-13.

My home in Setiawangsa, can easily achieve 20.

Last I checked, celcom have not supported DC-HSPA. you can reconfirm with Celcom on this

Thanks for the helpful feedback.

Just went over to Maxis and UMobile website and checked their prices. I think I'll go for UMobile since I've heard quite a few complaints about Maxis line stability recently due to the LTE upgrade.
*

to be honest, most telcos are affected with this disruption because all of them are racing towards LTE. my advice is to get a prepaid number of Umobile or Hotlink and subscribe for their daily plan first. If the speed and the coverage is good enough for your area, then make the switch. This way, you'll know what you'll be getting into before porting.

how do i check whether the nex 4 is ori or ap?

Check the warranty card, if it show LG Malaysia, then it is from local LG distributor.

you manage to play songs? Last time I use VPN to fake my IP address to use US Spotify service very fast. Change to Malaysia, totally not usable. Maybe server congest  rclxub.gif
*

it was good when it was launched yesterday night, now unusable. Server congested kot, we Malaysians are very fast in trying new stuffs. Spotify is quite nice tbh, but until they get the streaming right, I'll stick with Play Music for now.

Cis. Was happy already. doh.gif Guys im planning to unlock my n4. But already hv some data in it. Is titanium backup does the trick?
*

TB requires root, Carbon backup on the other hand, works without root. Use carbon to backup and copy the internal storage to PC.

play music also streaming service? you use VPN right? Coz if im not wrong, Malaysia don't have Play Music
*

nope, no VPN needed. You just need the VPN for the initial registration of play music. Once you have successfully opened music.google.com on your browser, you are good to.

Play Music is still streaming the files, but there is no lag or stuttering so far. Spotify is quite spotty even on Unifi.

Play Music is free as well?  rolleyes.gif

nope, all of my songs from iTunes are uploaded to Play Music. Heard that for Play Music UK, they'll do library matching instead, not sure though. Give it a try

Am I the only fella here using a Poetic bumper? cry.gif
*
Used to, then it started to peel. Then I moved to Cruzerlite TPU, then I moved to official bumper. I still use the TPU case if I am going for some outdoor activities.

The official bumper is well designed IMO, looks like a part of the phone.

Overheating in N4 is quite a common problem amongst the users.

If you would like to reduce the overheating, one of the way is to flash custom kernels and undervolt it.

So is on the Xperia Z, a friend has one, and it gets hot pretty quick too
