Volcano seems the best for me. G Rank of course better la, the higher the start the better the drop rate.
I used to get a lot of rusty sometimes. 3-5 rusty per run and 2-4 charm per run.

if you are high rank - then high rank volcano. if you are G Rank - then G Rank Volcano. get Gathering +2, Divine Whim, Charm Chaser, Speed Gatherer (just make aoshira G Rank armor - perfect for gathering) and do quick runs. that's the best for mining charms.

how many points do you lose per run? lost how many HRanks already?

if play solo minus 75 points per run. if in a group of 4, minus 15.

How many do we gain as well. I never actually look into the games regarding point.
After I break the limit I was like WTF.....HR25 already

75 is ok jor. my only gripe is we need 50 to unlock the gold/silver couple right? then if our hr drops below 50 do we still have access?

this suicide thing good for enduring charms only. volcano runs is better, can get rusties, can get other mats.

below 50 where got can access....

to get a higher hr for the break limit, please finish off the village quest only go for guild quest to break it. managed to get about hr 40+ and unlock a secret monster that need hr 40 and above.

Already break it without finishing off the village quest.
So now cannot get higher HR? I though Village quest never give extra HR one
Would still probably work if I finish the Village quest now after breaking right? Or not..

your hr points starts counting after you break the limit. though I am not sure clearing the village quest now can gain you hr point or not.

yes you can still take your time to clear off the solo mission according to your preference, though it might be that challenging already since you got G rank armor/weapon to bully the village High Rank monster.

Hr wont drop but only hr point. Mean if u hr50 with 1000 point, its only decrease the hr point to zero but never for ur hr.....i guesss

HR6 now, had to solo Caedues Gold Beard myself



Still not advancing in G-Rank guild quest yet, just finished my White Lagia village quest - 10mins

Not boring ma play alone... For me so boring that is why I just left most of the Monster Hunter game when finish Moga quest.
Usually if local play also haven't gone more than HR4-5 can't remember, on PSP

For me its not boring I already farmed the relevant monsters to make my rapid fire Light Bowgun collection.
