Nooooooo! It looks like there will be maintenance on Tuesday for 6 hours(Monday US time).
That day will be the day I got my Wii U and Monster Hunter

maintenance is from midnight onwards you won't be able to do update. not sure whether you can play the game without the initial update

is it this error? some of the guys got it as well

Mine is a 2nd hand Wii U, so probably got the update already
Midnight is the time when I play my games on week days

when you start the game, you need to go through quite a fair bit of tutorial. after that you can jump online the server downtime is only one hour anyway

juwels probably meant the mh game update 1.01

anyway the system also had a recent update which the previous owner may not have performed.

i afraid my newbie-ness affect everyone.

if you add through Friend List, both parties need to add each other before they become friends.

if you add through Miiverse, the other person receives a Friend Request Notification, and they just have to click Accept.

Just wanna join everyone else. It's gonna be my first Nintendo console since the NES besides the handheld.

Guild Cards are good for several things - the more you play with players who you have registered Guild Cards with, the more "partnership points" you gain. You will get some tickets from the Drunk Man at Port Tanzia, and these tickets can be exchanged with goodies (in mhp3 you can exchange for gems!!!)

You can also "spy" what your registered mates are doing by looking at their Guild Cards. to access this, press Minus at Port Tanzia, click Guild Card, click the last option (Card List or something like that). Select the Card you want to scrutinize, and press L/R to turn pages.
