Started off with the great sword as well.
Ran out of patience when first hunted, always want to deal more damage in a shorter time to kill the monster quick. Been using great sword ever since, but now trying out long sword. |

QUOTE(Kerry1136 @ Nov 5 2013, 07:36 PM) Just started mh3 I know its kinda tad late. Started with Switch Axe. Definitely the best for me and my most favourite. Can the pro advice which is a good weapon to start? Currently trying out the dual swords though. Deals a lot of damage but needs a lot of dodging. Pretty epic and the most interest weapon ever. Later on in game I use bow and lance. Depends on the players type of weapon used. If there is a lack of melee i'll use switch axe. If the Monster is damn strong I use lance and if there is no long range I use bow |

I love GS too but due to their slowness that is why I would rather choose SA.Am just starting out at LVL2 stars...and they pop real fast with my dual swords though...tried GS but omg too slow. SA can't block though but they are quite fast compared to GS. |

Naw dont really need to block.
I use the roll and run and hit manoeuvre. Does switchaxe fare better than dual swords? And another question is how do I farm sandy plains just like moga woods free farm? The only way I can farm sandy plains is via quest. |

yeah, you can only farm sandy plains via quest.
There's no other way to go around. If you're farming for bugs or plants, then might as well use the farm to do it. If you're farming minerals, then too bad. You have to do multiple runs on the quest. |

Designed for MH.Circle pad exist because of MH. You will definitely have a lot of problem fighting underwater. Will regret playing without it for sure. |

Bought it the first day along with 3DS XL.
Couldn't live without it when playing MH, that's how important it is. |
