Monster Hunter is much easier when you have the chance to log on online and learn/observe other people killing the mobs.

Otherwise, it is a slow and steep learning curve.

You must be doing something wrong.. My advice would be seeing some video guide on how to play well with the weapon you use.
If you could go online you could learn how people play more easily.

no la, it is just rather obtuse and has a rather steep learning curve right at the start.
you have to both learn your chosen weapon and the behavior of the monster at the same time!!!

Yea i saw some vids after trying so many times. Was using a hammer then but now with HH and a full bone armor set im doing much better. Also the 3DS view is like bit annoying (no offense to 3DS users lolz). Prefer it on my tv hence why i just ordered my wii u

plus, i just realized i've been using the wrong weapon (long sword). switched to dual blade, fuhhhhhh, slash through everything with breeze.

*wrong weapon as in not suitable for me ok takut kena flame. my friend like long sword alot.

umm yea cause that was the first quest listed after the Harvest ones. Though i saw 1 star only so should be ok lolz... and that stupid bird keep on running away. Forgot to bring extra paintballs... wasted 1 cause i missed ...zzzz...

Should try all the weapons some will be perfect for you.
I remember before in Tri I use Lance but I give Switch Axe a go and it's even better for me. Though I hit a lot of teammates all the time in Axe mode because it's freaking powerful
Oooo ordered a Wii U as well Welcome to the club I did the same thing and decided to sell of my 3DS copy and CPP. Not really gonna participate in any gathering since not a lot of my real friends has a 3DS.

after a while you'll learn where they run to, well most peeps anyways. ask juwels and the rest, I still blur sotong when it comes to directions!!!

I tried all the weapons as well and it seems certain ones better for certain monsters. Im also not used to the fighting system in MH. When i press the dodge i want to instantly dodge but that is not the case in MH... have to wait finish the last hit animation first.

I dont any frens with 3DS. Also assumed it was like the Vita where i can play online anytime i want.

as for weapons, yes, there is always a weapon that makes fighting a particular monster easier. but most of us choose a weapon we fancy and then try to learn how to fight everything with our chosen weapon. and later on we branch into others.

except for wells, he uses every damned weapon in the MH world one.

start at village quest first. there easier

this on GS pro. ask her if you wanna learn how to GS.

Never played with this guy before.. Always see his HR higher than the others..
