hmm..I found tat an amp(either boA or LDM+ frm tat day) will made the sounds enhanced a lot..separation of each sounds(each instruments,vocals..) in a song made the sounds more details n 'real'..for exmp compare my ksc75 w/wo amp on an orchestral music, i can found d difference of a percussionist hit d timpani sounds..with an amp the sounds become more REAL..n d amp strengthen tos sounds which normally v din notice..i duno how to describe but conclusion is i can obviously get the difference of a ksc75 w/wo amp..n i hope i can own an amp asap after tat testin!!
MS-1 was another fatal poisonin stuff of d day..although soundstage not tat high range bt its sounds nice enuf for me,..bt not d time for me to own him nw since my wallet is limited..

LOL Nightstalker1993. That was me! Subang Parade's Digital One-- or did you see me in Parkson after that? The amp was a FiiO E5. Small sized chick with a large sized handbag, yes? I was testing out the amp with the KSC-75 after I bought a cheapo 3.5 to 3.5 interconnect and a USB cable (I suspect the shop hammered me on the USB cable price, seriously. Not buying from them again!) to charge the amp with, since I got the KSC-75 and E5 from Darkchaser second hand (third hand in the case of the headphones), and he didn't include the interconnect cable or USB cable. All working fine, and the amp REALLY helps with powering the KSC-75: my current player is Samsung YP-U3, and is ridiculously underpowered, can't power the headphones worth a danged thing; even with amp still needs high volumes.  Can't wait till my Sansa Clip+ gets here. Also want to get a custom 3.5-3.5 interconnect, but must wait for later time, since I just plonked RM390 on Edifier C3 and am broke for the next three months.

Pc Bro, sure lifetime warranty? You said it not me! Though am no Leng Lui by any stretch of the definition... thanks for the advice on the headphone clips; though I think it was me not used to putting on the headphones properly. Finally managed to get them on right. LOL.

terradrive: Yeah-- also good luck trying to play anything loud enough to hear on KTM without an amp. Tried that. Not good!

Experience so far with KSC-75 plugged into my laptop's onboard soundcard, Foobar2k (plugins used: ASIO, resampled to 48kHz with ultra mode on, advanced limiter and skip silence), all source files at 192 kbps or better, most being FLAC: Sounds good, about equal to the other set of good cans I own, the Beyerdynamic DT231 in some instances and better in others. Bass is quite ample and clean on listening to Vienna Teng's "Augustine" and some AC/DC and Metallica; however I think the bass has more oomph on the Beyerdynamic. Details are clear listening to Sigur Ros and listening to "Silhouette" from Mike Oldfield's 2008 album Music of the Spheres is a treat as Lang Lang's piano sounds like drops of water falling into a still pool, and each pluck of the guitar on Trace Bundy's "Acoustic Ninja" is as sharply obvious as sand on black paper. Can hear all the various instruments nicely when listening to Trevor Pinnock playing Bach. And Kate Bush sounds very detailed and clear, not at all muddy, all layers coming through. Highs are fantastic on all tracks, especially on Vangelis' "Rachel's Song" from the Blade Runner soundtrack and the Tallis Scholars' "Spem in alium". Vocals on these tracks sound even airier with the Koss. The separation of all the various voices ("Spem" has 40 parts total), the clarity and detail on "Spem" is lovely with the Koss.

Feel: a bit loose on the ears, so I have to keep adjusting. Otherwise it's quite comfortable, though the foam is a little scratchy. Am planning to try and see if i can get some Plantronics leatherette ear cushions and see if it helps any with a little extra bass and maybe more comfort.

Portability: the recabled cables are kinda stiff, but at least they don't get extremely tangled like my other 'phones. XD Otherwise, easy to carry around! Thumbs up to PcWork's superb job with the cabling.

Overall I don't regret plunking RM100 on this KSC75. Worth every sen!

I think so. Opposite the escalator? You on the lower floor right? The shop next to the place selling all the PC games? I tend to go there often, but the prices are crazy high. Kena hammer already.

PcWork can probably revive it-- but depends what's wrong with it. Someone had this kinda of problem before and asked right here. If cable rosak or contact spoil I think no problem. However if it's a problem with the voice coil or something and you somehow managed to screw it up... no help for it, have to replace already.

Did anyone actually use their ksc75 till spoil (not abused or attempt to mod)? Cable spoil is a common prob i guess as it accidentally been tugged.

Portapro has better isolation than KSC75-- tried it out this afternoon, it's a pretty sweet deal, but still isolation is not as good as a closed headphone. Construction-wise to me it looks and feels rather scary to handle cos scared will break with rough handling You definitely CAN'T just toss these in a bag and go. The fit is very nice though-- doesn't clamp on too tightly. People have complained that their hair gets caught in the sliders, but I didn't experience that problem; adjust BEFORE you put it on your head. Funny thing though: the pads (same as KSC75) made my ears itch.

The sound of Portapro is definitely darker than the KSC75 though definitely not overly bassy out of the box (word is because it's the KSC35 driver, not-titanium coated so the sound is not as bright); soundstage is a tad wider than the modded KSC75 I think. Details are definitely still there. Wonder what will happen if PcWork tries to recable a PortaPro? Another to die-for semi-cheap headphone?

Haha. Spotted today at KL Sentral's bus stand around 5.30 PM: Chinese guy wearing glasses, short hair, medium height and build, beige shirt with brown bag (IIRC is a backpack)-- I noticed him because he was sporting a pair of stock KSC75s, and they looked pretty new and shiny. The alien saucers are pretty distinctive.

Thicker foam pads= increased bass, less sparkly highs. Speed also went down a little. I just changed the pads on mine and now have to break them in again...
