lol.. just recieved my KSC75 not long ago.. and i threw it into a SHP2000 cup to make it into a full sized headphone... (did all kinds of things to these cups to make the sound right lol.. plain cups seriously sounds like crap as madman said)

planning to do a 75ohm adapter for it...
but i dont have the guts to recable it sad.gif.. how much diff can recabling do to a pair of KSC75 .. and will it void the warranty?

maybe we can put the ksc75 driver into a ear muff...since the ear muff is designed to isolate noise..hehe~mayb it will work
*
i did that doh.gif... it ended up sounding pretty close to hitman's recabled grado SR60 with bowl pads .. just the bass and highs are a little refined coz its a close cup so the sound arent leaking out as bad and has wider soundstage as well *edit* when i mean that the high is more refine.. the headphone is bright.. if compare to an already bright grado.. you know what i mean doh.gif (but i rike brightness brows.gif)
but then you cant just slap the KSC75 inside just like that.. it needs alot of tuning to get the sound right.. coz cups and paddings makes a lot of difference in the sound produced.. btw the koss i used is stock... the recabled one sounded queer in the phillips cup XD

sad.gif dang.. i tot can save a "one side no sound" ksc75 ... but didnt expect that a cable problem was actually a voice coil problem sad.gif

actually the recabling isnt hard... its the braiding part.. and the selecting the cables and plugs part is the hardest... im just lucky that it sounds better than stock .... even though i used all china made stuff doh.gif

stock broke in half.. cry.gif sobs sobs cry.gif .. no way to savage at all already (one side is all the way to the drivers.. one side is at the middle splitter GGed)
so in desperation.. i dont wanna lose this koss,i whipped out some canare starquad and china plugs (yao sheng*i dont even know what brand is this*).. luckily no damaged voice coils (phew!)

*edit* i just tried pulling the stock cable which GGed.. seriously damn easy to putus weh!!

yalo.. besar macam sial.. hahaha.. but i got no other cables already at the moment, in melaka right now so cant go jalan pasar what they have in shops here are cheap china plugs and electric cables which are far fatter than starquad... doh.gif
and the fat black sleeves gave me no choice but to pull all the 4 cables out to braid them.. to make it smaller

and yea i did notice it has more bass.. compaired with bro PCwork's .. his is a little more laidback.. much more soothing than my harsh ones smile.gif

if your clip on is pretty lose on your ears then yes... the headband allows firm fitting to your head.. thus i find it slighly bassy as its much nearer to your ears with the headband

hard to say.. i prefer the sound with the clip-ons but find it irritating as it displaced often when i walk.. as for headbands its really comfortable but hard to keep when not in use while youre on the go.

so i just keep with the clip-ons and only use it during bus trips while i have a pair of iem when im walking on the street

if you wanna know how it sounds with the headband, you can try this simple trick : push the koss snugly to your ears. thats how it sounds wink.gif
