The Story:
21/3/2013
So I was chilling in my room, saw my 10 years old computer sitting in the corner, filled with dust. After cleaning it a bit, I plugged all the wires and cords, booted up the PC and amazed it still running even years after I left it in the corner. My dad bought the PC for me around 2003 as a gift, don't remember a gift for what biggrin.gif And I remember all the happy things we used to do together, I played a lot of games with it (CnC General, Red Alert, NFS Underground, lots more) and this I was introduced to the world of interweb(and porn tongue.gif) through this guy. So I thought maybe I should give this guy a new life, maybe upgrade few things, giving him a face-lift, stuff like that.

The System:
Windows XP SP2
axper XP-M5S661FX (It used to have MSI KT6V, but I fried it when I was messing around with it around 2005)
P4 3.2GHz HT (Forgot the proc I used with MSI KT6V, but I remembered I accidentally bend the proc legs while experimenting it around 2005)
512MB RAM
ATI 9250 GPU (Had a Nvidia 64MB before I think, also lost it when I experiment with it around 2006)
80GB Western Digital (filled with treasure I thought lost xD)
ATF 400W
Logitech Mouse (Ball)
Acer 6511-CX keyboard (I forgot where I got this)
Cheap casing

So Im planning to give this guy a new look while maintaining some old hardware, because this guy means alot to me. Basically Im doing this for nostalgia sake.

The Plan:
1st step, I will disassemble all the parts and give a good through cleaning. He's covered with heavy dust and filled with happy spiders inside. Sorry spiders, you have to find other place to play.

2nd step, need to buy few stuff for minor upgrade on him. Those stuff probably be 2 sticks of 1GB RAM, GPU, larger HDD, and couples of thing more. And oh yea, maybe a set of keyboard button sticker.

3rd step is to give the casing, the disassemble keyboard and mouse and new look. Will spray them using spray gun and give the casing gloss finish.

4th step is just to assemble it back, and put him back at the corner where he belongs ...Nope, just kidding biggrin.gif After done with the face-lift and upgrades, he will be sitting on the desk along with his new lappy pal. Maybe I will use him more often after that.
