QUOTE(Cranky guy @ Mar 21 2013, 11:44 PM) I will be in two days. I'm going on a fishing trip with my family, and I won't have any access to technology for three days. Hopefully by then many people will have voted. Also, thanks for the support bro. You're welcome. Who doesn't like good, affordable hi-tech? You should post your "Gone fishing" message on post 1 when you're going. |

BTW, why don't you link the respective topics of each phone on page 1 in your top 9 list?

QUOTE(Cranky guy @ Mar 25 2013, 05:44 PM) Umi is scheduled for an April release, the JiaYu hasn't announced a date, Neo also haven't announced a date, Oppo should be here soon. May I suggest you can use Google Forms linked to a spreadsheet for Voting next time, it's a lot easier and you can add and edit anytime you want.See this: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=59150591 Did you catch a lot of fish? Was it tasty ? |

QUOTE(AlanSiew @ Mar 26 2013, 11:14 AM) Ya. I agree wat u said about those components are made in China, but isn't mean China brand phone quality will same as those international brand phone too. Cause their QC very worst! If around RM2k price it's really not worth at all! Well, if they want to become reputable, they had better make sure they have good QC. Give them a chance in the market. If they fail in QC, nobody will want them except for those who can bear the risk. |

QUOTE(nghj @ Mar 26 2013, 03:14 PM) at least buying china phone with proper brand like jiayu, oppo, xiaomi is better than buying those galaxy s3, note clones. cos most of the time, those specs are fake and wrong. can u imagine they have android 4.3.1? LOL. Yes you are right. It is the fakes that give the China phones a bad name. These other guys (Umi, Jiayu etc) are trying to build their own brand. Hopefully they don't use Proton as a role model ..... |

http://www.cnx-software.com/2013/04/04/qua...412-vs-tegra-3/
padhz.com compared three of the fastest Quad Core Cortex A9 processors: Rockchip RK3188, Samsung Exynos 4412, and Nvidia Tegra 3. In their detailed report (in Chinese) they compare the performance, power consumption, video play back and more. As expected, it turns out RK3188 is the best, followed by Exynos 4412, and then Tegra 3, which correspond to the inverse of their release dates. Keep reading to find the details. QUOTE(scoop7 @ Apr 6 2013, 04:23 PM) If we infer that MTK's own published data show that it performs like a Tegra 3, and Exynos beats Tegra 3, so we can infer that RK3188 should beat MTK quadcore.QUOTE(wkkm007 @ Apr 6 2013, 06:52 PM) Don't know if any phones have it, but several tablets do. There was this guy faifai94 who started a thread last week for a tablet he bought based on this chip. |

cranky guy you may want to post this on page 1 of all your threads
http://www.androidauthority.com/buying-pho...-bother-186530/ ..... The truth is that the majority of Android devices are made in China under contract from companies like Samsung, LG, Asus or Sony etc. So in one sense whenever you buy a big brand phone it is actually a Chinese phone! Plus companies like ZTE and Huawei, which are both native Chinese giants, are making big inroads into the branded Android smartphone market. There are also lesser known brands (in the West) like ThL, who have 341 stores across China. And of course we can’t forget Lenovo! ..... |
