Found out something

those that uses small app
I tested out with small browser app
and when drag to the right side or bottom
the app will minimize to a small icon

quite nice actually

heck same goes with all small app

you can press power + vol up to virtual battery removal

anyone with sharp, staying round butterworth want to come out and compare?

Here's is my honest opinion

As a newbie to smart phone
This phone is nice, but compare to my brother Note 2
the display really lacks the WOW factor

Then, being so close to AOSP build
the quick function out of the box is much lesser than that of the touch wiz
Stuff like nfc, airplane mode are not in the notification page for ease of use

but with apps like "power toggle"
you can create something similar in that situation
which is suffice for me

example


for those that interested in rooting, unlocking bootloader, custom roms etc
than this phone have potential
the community in XDA is brilliant with tons of developer doing stuff for this phone

The let down is that the battery is a bit low
enough for my daily use, but daily charging is not something i prefer ..still...

I have a colleague that saw the phone and thought getting it (for the sake of reesistant properties)
but I advised against it, not because of anything sinister
but this colleague of mine is a tech n00b
and in the end, all question and trouble shooting end back up to me...

XDA dudes say Sharp panel have higher contrast to JDC(later revision)
earlier rev have JDC with much worse display....

now with JDC..dunno how dee

i dunno what it fixes

anyone tested power bank with the sony own suppplied cable
today found out it cant charge
with the power bank cable is okay

summary for charging with power bank
powerbank cable = okay
Sony cable = NG
Samsung Cable = NG

its actually extended standby mode controller

This is the 2nd time I have done clear cache on this app

not really happy with this issue

before clearing, on/off is 6hrs
after clearing is 1 day - off, 2 day - on

maybe after some time with my prolong usage, the standby time is lower thatn that

Using the display= yes
with display off = no,

it was tested by gsm arena that the phone if used for calling equate or excell better than that of SGNote 2
Once the display is on, then the battery struggle to cope with it
even worse when you are watching movie

some simple analysis done

1.	The standby time is similar to that of note 2, in fact per mAh, the Z is more lower in power consumption
2.	The web browsing usage is also similar
3.	The big issue is the video playback test where the Z suffers high battery usage
4.	Endurance of Z uses a bit higher battery than the Note 2

then I do a theoretical calculation with the Z having the same battery size as the Note 2,
and the 3G talktime is a massive 20+ hrs with the webbrowsing similar time
but the video playback still way off (3 hrs) from what Note 2 can do

so my guesses:
1. Z display is the battery guzzler of the whole unit
2. Z 3G talktime is the current unwritten de facto standard between manufacturer. Nobody want to start a batt life war which is less important to them. As long as the Talk time is closes to their competitor, they could care less if the batt life suffers in other area
