"United Kingdom Prime Minister David Cameron has weighed into the debate over Luis Suarez's bite on Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic, suggesting that an example must be made of the Liverpool forward when handing down his punishment."

http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1422433/...inister?cc=3436

This has got to be a joke right? Come on... is Cameron that stupid?

Suarez has one of the best football IQ but I don't know why he does the things he does.

So, what's the punishment handed out by LFC besides the fine?

All jokes aside, I think the best thing for LFC now is to ban him from playing till the end of season. Regardless of what FA wants to do with this, LFC have to deal with him first. His season has ended as far as i am concern with that venomous bite..ok..its still funny. WHY THE HELL DID HE OMNOMNOM IVAN'S ARM?!?!?! Still cant comprehend that. WTF MAN!!  shocking.gif Suarez You FOOL!
*
When he was embroiled in the Evra saga (bit of class from the **** biting into a fake arm btw), I along with many of you, defended him to no end. This was because he was prosecuted not on evidence, but rather on accusations levied against him. It didn't matter if he intended what he said in a malicious manner or not. Fact is, there was no concrete evidence and we cannot go around prosecuting people without evidence. There was also of course the preferential treatment given to Terry for a similar offence, one that was caught on video. I thought the FA were biased then and my opinion of them has not changed.

In this instance, the evidence is irrefutable. The image and the reputation of the club means more to me than any one player. It doesn't bother me as much that Cantona, Defoe, Zidane or even Harald Schumacher committed inexcusable offences simply because none of them wore a Liverbird on their chest. Luis Suarez does and I can understand why Graeme Souness has labeled him an embarrassment. He is arguably our best player and by virtue of being so, the eyes of the world are constantly on him and he shoulders the responsibility of keeping our reputation intact. He needs to grow up.

"I'm sorry" are words that don't resonate with me anymore, when it comes to him. He needs to show that he is remorseful and clean his act up. Just weeks ago I was talking to my friends about how he no longer dives and complains like he used to, and now, this. The club and fans want to back him but it's true, he doesn't make it easy and he does himself no favours.

The arm was tossed to him by a fan just for your info, it's not as if Evra had it specially prepared. The fans obviously expected him to pick up on it and he obliged before throwing the hand back.

I'm sure everybody has that "wtf?" moment when reading a particularly strange piece of news. Suarez's biting is just way out of there that it would be all the more shocking if nobody made a reference of it considering the shared history.

I'm well aware of that fact. Doesn't change my POV of him. I will never hold the same respect for him as I do a model professional like Paul Scholes. Leading a player revolt at World Cup 2010? The "N word" video in 2004? Like Suarez, his reputation precedes him.

The player I respected most out of MU is Bryan Robson. He is a class above all the monkeys in MU. He is better and more classy than the senile old man himself.

Aye, Captain Marvel. Gary Pallister, Steve Bruce, Dennis Irwin, Brian McClair were all model pros. I actually grew up watching Man Utd though I never became a fan. Jim Leighton was one of my favourite keepers at the time, behind the great Neville Southall of course.

Haha, for me it's the opposite: I admire Shankly and Paisley and some Liverpool players just didn't sit right for me.

The old-school managers had a different aura to them, they had the right amount of arrogance and confidence when they speak. Despite what some might say about Ferguson, I'd like to think others would agree he is the last of that particular mold and we'll probably never see their like again. Of course, others wouldn't care for Ferguson to be placed among those Liverpool greats, but I prefer to think that Liverpool at least respects Matt Busby and Busby himself greatly admired Ferguson. And that is more than enough for me.

Well, depends where he goes IF he goes right? I don't think Cavani and Falcao is realistic..Cannot afford transfer fee or CL for them. Maybe if he goes to Bayern Munich, we can request 25mil + Gomez.. biggrin.gif since Gomez is 2nd choice to the other Mario there..If not perhaps, use the money on JAckson Martinez and James Rodriguez.. At the current financial state and league position, Liverpool simply cannot afford a bidding war..sad to say.. sad.gif
