The Mikuru vector trace is a bit rough. Curved lines are angular due to using of the pen tool in a straight line (especially on the hair and eyes). You should use the curve path feature of the pen tool to produce a smoother curve. Alternatively, plotting a lot of anchor points to simulate curves is a viable method but takes longer time to execute.
Outlines are inconsistent in thickness resulting in thin / thick outlines. Despite the angular curves in the raw image due to the art style, vectors are characterized by smooth curves with a somewhat consistent thickness and clean image (not a problem in this department). Playing around with smooth curves is a better option rather than following the raw image 100%.
