rm69k is worth the value. great power, spacious. although the rubbery material is of bad workmanship - the rough edge on my sterling wheel, and certain areas in the car. great air cond. dark window and screen (non tinted) but it is in dark color, so u feel a bit "cooler". hey, it comes with 4 disc brake...same as the 80k cfe.

oh the rim, is not sporty at all, it's just a cover. maybe trade in for a better one in future.

now i need to get some modding done...
who can recommend me place to:
1. install spoiler n rear mirror.
2. body lining and design body sticker.
3. install dvd ...what u call that, mini tv in the car?
4. tint window.
preferably with quote pricing.

stay in kl, so moving in kl or selangor will be fine with me. i want good quality. since it a new car.

i think i will skip the fog lamp, since i wont be using it frequently...
but erm, i still curious on the pricing. hehe if still within budget, and worth it...can la.

now already running 200+km...so far no biggie problem, just noise of wind on driver side when cruising above 90kmph.

mine, EB cocoa grey.. went to penang today..odo after come back 930km.. preparing for 1st service.. so far no problem.. smooth cruise, great pickup power and quiet with little wind sound even when cruising at 140..
preparing for soundproofing next month..
btw, i heard proton service centre use semi-synt oil.. anyone had tried fully-synt oil for EB?

The SC have already ordered the part for me as they don't have stock and waiting for the arrival...
Managed to see the part below the Petrol Tank and took Photo also.
The ones with issue are the earlier Batch and is in Green colour and the new Batch comes in a different colour (heard it is Brown). And understand that it doesn't show problems in all the Cars so they are replacing only based on complain from riders.....

from what i read, installation will tap the power supply from the dome light. which they might just loop the wire. so wont void warranty. If they loop lah... if they cut the wire than its different thing... 

received my EB std yesterday, noticed there is this burned smell everytime i exited from the car, is there something wrong?

and the sound of the blower when i off the engine, sometimes it hummed for a few minutes, other time it just quiet. am i the only one with this condition?

new owner of eb cfe standard reporting in, need some advise from sifu here.

1, the front seat rocking abit can claim warranty?
2, sometime when turning wheel, steering shaft have squeaks sound, is it normal?
3, my steering crooked to the right abit, is it alignment problem?
4, my eb is standard steering, if i bought the preve / exora premium steering will the button, auto cruise, and shift paddle work on with eb standard?

I never read the manual, in fact i don't have time for it. my odo meter showing 400+ km, plan to travel outstation, and by the time i get back to my hometown it should exceed the 1k service. will proton void my free 1k service? pls advice.

Count me in as an Exora owner too. Cocoa Grey EB. Today is the 9th day of ownership. Yesterday did the 1k service.

I have, however, voided the warranty now, I think ...

Ok, I'll just combine all the replies here.

1. The cost

RM 2,400.00 "siap pasang".

2. The DVD Player, aka the roof monitor

It's still the standard DVD player, with the AUX input to it connected to the Vid out of the Head Unit. Because the connector is situated at a rather dumb place, I asked the install guys to make that hole on the mount bracket, and run the video cable through the roof so that the awkwardness is kept at a minimum.

There is no video out from the DVD player, in so far as I bothered to check.

As for routing the audio out back into the head unit, I considered it, but felt that having one cable protruding out was already annoying enough.

Also, using the FM connection meant that I could use, for example, Google Maps on the HU, while the ankle biters are watching whatever on the player with sound routed through the radio running in the background.

3. The infernal rattling

Airbag? No ... I think it's somewhere at the A/C vents. When the installers opened up the console to put in the HU, I forgot to really check! So, will have to do it another time.
Also, THE CAVEATS:

The HU is NOT a perfect fit to the console. The installers had to shave off about 1mm around the sides. They messed up a bit, and the fake carbon-look overlay got stripped a little. So, they put on another type of fake carbon-look sticker to cover up. The fler who messed it up said to me that at least now he knows not to make the same mistake!

It's a Gingerbread Android, with a resistive touch-screen. This means that it's a rather old implementation of the OS, and the touch experience can sometimes be challenging.

Some software are "not compatible" according to Google Play, including Waze ... which is stupid. I'm going to try and sideload the latest version tomorrow and see how that goes.

There are other little niggles here and there too, but it's late and I can't really remember.

However, I would love to be able to root the thing, and to install, at the very least, ICS. Then, it'll be really cool!
