guys, just got my eb cfe standard last 2 days...changed hu, speaker & preve steering yesterday. ..

the fan sound is seriously loud..is it normal? even my previous myvi fan sound is smooth...this one sound really coarse..

mines this february hits two years, and thanks god still in a good condition, and we share the same colour.
just wonder why they took out the sport rim for the spare tyre.

morning... guys need to know if change battery need to reset/reflash ecu or not?? my EB already 2 years and it's getting harder to start especially in the morning....

if i not mistaken,u can order a unit of rim from prtn branch sc or proton parts.

COSE did a reflash on my EB CFE in end Dec 13. I  complained abt the engine dying off as soon as the gear selector is slotted into R. This happens only when doing 3 point turns, ie gear in D then into R quickly. It happens only on very few occasions.

A month after reflash, engine do not die off when enter fr D to R, but instead engine jerk and die off while reversing (especially if the reversing gradient a little steep - in my case ,reversing up the carporch which has only a slight gradient .The engine / gears like spitting n coughing while Reversing. One other 'feature' that arise was that the engine remains at higher rpm of abt 1.2 - 1.6k when slowing down to a stop, the rpm tapering to lower rpm at much slower rate than before. The forward motion seem a little more smoother - only slightly.

So for those eager for the reflash -  maybe you prefer without. I wonder if I could revert to the old setting again?!

On another matter on the EB CFE - anyone went to Genting can share. I know the car climbs effortlessly when going up whatever hills, but coming down, does the CVT gearbox hold on  low gears all the way if travelling at slow to medium speed.

You want to check whether the update carried out was successful or not?
I had similar issues after the Update, with an additional issue like once in a while, when moving slowly in traffic jams, it felt like getting a gear sleep (even though there is no gear) feeling with a sound which others also can hear..... so I took it back to SC and they did reflash once again and everything got resolved.

which brand fuel u use?
my car (myvi/neo) got strong petrol smell if use petronas.

This is common problem for exora.
Quick fix at SC is they put sealant near petrol cap Black color.
Solved the issue for me.

Great Tip! But say...if say we found that the paint work has scratches, what next? we cant reject it...SA dont allow
