QUOTE(ir5 @ Mar 18 2013, 02:22 PM)
what's the actual function for the negative camber? i thought by default when we 1st received the MPV, the rear already got some slight negative camber? Do you guys feels some kind of steering vibration when cruising (~110 to 120km/h) after rotating the tyres from back tot front? Is it because the tyre not stable/straight due to the negative camber? last but not least, is it true that the rear tyres alignment already fixed (cannot do alignment), only front tyres can do alignment?
*
No function just form only. Stance culture. If u just rotate the tyre, better do balancing for the wheels. Coz usually if u feel vibration around 100-120 it is because tyre balancing not properly done or uneven tyre wear.

Slight negative camber in the front will increase cornering grip but too much negative camber will effect ur tyre wear.

Yup rear tyre cannot be aligned as they are fixed.

There's couple of seller in mudah.my selling those if i can remember. It is a universal diffuser. Some bodykit shop sell those fiberglass r3 diffuser and current trend is using alluminium instead of fiberglass.
http://www.mudah.my/Front+lips+Universal+d...er-19902624.htm

Or u can just buy any universal fiber diffuser and stick with r3 emblem, any accesories shop can do that.

Not really... Drag will start to effect once we start moving...  what make the difference is how big is the effect...

So driving with your window wide open at high speed will definitely create drag which the effect may be the same as switching on your ac...

Ahh im looking for this exo bumper diffuser/splitter. All universal that i saw is different from this one. I think this one is for exora bold not universal coz the diffuser nicely fit the bumper and those left and right splitter.

If anybody knows which shop selling that diffuser, please lemme know huhu

But im using semi synth on my eb, the sc said 10k km only come back for next service
New Proton now service interval every 10000km, CFE engine and iafm+ engine on saga flx. Even the service book show every 10,000km using their recommend oil which is Syntium 800 (semi oil)
*
Actually yes, proton service is every 10Kkm, which u get free labour charge for a year if im not mistaken. Just it is recommended to service every 5Kkm for semi oil, but on interval 5Kkm u need to pay the labour charge.

Eg:

5000km - pay labour charge
10000km - free labour charge
15000km - pay labout charge
20000km - free labour charge
And so on...

Correct me if im wrong, i just based on my assumption.

Anyway, i'd prefer to service every 5000km for semi oil. For full syn oil, can service every 10k without worry.

maybe something wrong on the caliper piston seal, this is happen on my previous car. found that the seal dah koyak / loose, so the piston cannot work properly when pushing the brake pad.

picture from other forum

and other possibility maybe the brake hydraulic hose defect, causing uneven expansion along the hydraulic line. so to overcome this, just change the hose or better upgrade to steel braided hydraulic line, eg http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=2088001 , http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1491808 .

would like to check with you guys...i've just serviced my EB for 20K service and it cost me RM600++ ....dang...u guys shared same experience??? things that SC change:

1) Engine Coolant
2) Fuel filter
3) Fully Syntetic Oil
4) Oil filter
5) 'others' {can't really recap now}

According to the service manual..it doesn't mentioned changing engine coolant and fuel filter...but SC insist to follow their common CVT 20K service instruction....

Appreciate your feedback...
*
wow 600++ for 20k service shocking.gif mine still at 12k so cannot give any comment.

but from my exp with my previous car (not service with sc), Fuel filter is only rm40 while engine coolant is only less than rm30 per bottle.

maybe u can list out the 'others'.

mine from 1st to third service go to sc, because of free labour. using shell helix 10w40. 5K service interval. not much problem encountered using this oil, just when the interval reach 5k, car feels heavy.cold start also no problem.

after this i plan to service at normal workshop because of cheaper labour charge.when i ask proton sc their labour charge is RM65  mad.gif
and want to try other brand engine oil.
*
Since ur car is new, my suggestion is to continue to service at sc until ur warranty expire. if something happen to ur engine or the most expensive part which is the cvt gearbox (cost u rm20k), just because of rm65 labour change, u have to spend thousand of ringgit to repair those.

Do u know that most of cfe part is expensive such the engine itself that include forge crankshaft, low comp piston, cvt gearbox, turbine, ecu, wiring, sensors, cvt gearbox, did i already said cvt gearbox? What i mean is our cvt gearbox is bloody expensive jo. If u said rm65 for labour charge is expensive, i can say rm20k in ur bill u will die straightly huhu. So u choose, keep on the warranty or just ignore the warranty and save rm65?

Most ppl that dont care about warranty, they already know the consequences, have deep pocket for repair and not even bother the rm65 labour charge. R u prepare for that?

U can use other oil. Just buy any oil that within the specification from shop, and bring to the sc when doing ur service. Some sc wont allow but some ok with that. But there is no actual requirement in thr manual nor service book stated that u have to use petronas or shell oil only.

Just my 2cent, and it is up to u btw.

well, the idea of bringing own EO to SC was not crossing my mind before. care to share which SC can bring own EO so I can continue service at SC without voiding my warranty? Thanks for the heads up calmshot.

P/S: ko kat CSM lg ke? hehe jom tts
*
Cait pijo mu ker. Haha csm lagi liao. Haa jom azwath lol.

Btw sc area equine atau seri kembangan aku tak sure boleh ke tak bawak eo sendiri, maybe kat equine boleh, ni aku nak service lagi 2k aku roger. Dulu aku buat kat seremban boleh bawak eo sendiri.

If they dont want to accept my own eo, i will ask them to show ade black and white stated must use eo from sc only. In the manual only stated use recommended oil 10-30 or higher only.

But one of my friend that drive inspira service at sc bukit puchong, he said bukit puchong sc accept outside eo.

what is the maximum width and perfect offset for the rims to put in EB ? 17inch
*
im using 17inch with 8.5jj 25 offset, i want to make the car look wide, now im looking for 9jj with 25-20 offset. but if you are looking for just perfect wheel without the rim/tyre outside of the wheelarch, you can try 17inch with 7.5jj and offset around 38.

the tyres wont hit the fenders/ wheel arc? mine install 215/50/17, 17rims, ofset 38, 7.5j, already hit the wheel arc at the rear.. front no problem..
*
nop, not touching the fender, maybe coz im using 205/50 profile tyre, and also i alraedy do fender rolling for the rear fender, camber -1++ front and -2++ rear (fyi negative camber is not recommended for daily driving, j ust for look only)

full load, even on bump, not touching the fender.

u sure can fit 234 n 245? have u test it? or just your theory...hmmm.. unsless you -ve the chamber n do hellaflush.. stil, 235.245 to wide lor..
*
+1 you are correct, i;ve already tried 225 with my previous lenso rim 17" 40/38 offset, the tyre rubbing the rear absorber due to the tyre too wide for the offset. i think if offset 35 or below should be ok for 225, but for 235 or 245, im not sure can fit exora, it is too wide, even if you are doing -ve camber.
