If i'm not mistaken, the Dynamat Original is Rubberized Asphalt based, whereby the Extreme is Butyl based.

I would rather say it's an overpriced bitumen roll used for sealing leaking roofs, could be had for less than half the price. No offense.

Sound dampening material is meant to be stuck on permanently, so... it wouldn't be easy to remove else it'll just defeat it's purposes
