QUOTE(OlgaC4 @ Apr 3 2013, 03:21 PM) Ok just managed to connect to 4G on E589. No need maxis device. Stupid Maxis staff at TTDI. However speed about 15mb-10mb ping about 100ms. Signal here in Damansara Utaman is bad.First they activate the 3G first then later about 1hrs then only 4G. Sim card is different then the normal one. that's good news. can show a photo of the sim card? thanks in advance! |

QUOTE(digilife @ Apr 15 2013, 01:58 PM) Go for Huntsman, the latest version. Cell ID and QoS are shown there. but when i am on MDMA my QoS is 42000/8640 but the same modem on Huntsman FW ( Router ) , its 8640/8640 , still blur on this part Same cell ID with different QoS?It doesn't really matters for my case, which I have mentioned before. I'm using unetp APN and the QoS is only 2048/384 but my actual speed usually exceeds it. |

QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Apr 15 2013, 08:46 PM) thanks for responding on my behalf. QUOTE(rolemodelboyz @ Apr 15 2013, 09:21 PM) yeah, i know that already. I was wondering if this speed stay the same no matter what APN we use or this QoS only apply to UNETP only? For my case, the speed using unetp is definitely better than 2048/384 but usually will not be superior than other APNs, it will either be on par or inferior than them. That's what I've observed. You can always try it out yourself. Having public IP enabled doesn't mean that you can't fallback to other APNs. It will only be effective only when using with unetp APN. When you change to other APNs, it will be as usual. This post has been edited by maxcheam: Apr 15 2013, 09:34 PM |

QUOTE(digilife @ Apr 22 2013, 03:43 PM) The highest I've observed so far is the same as yours but I don't really care about it as it doesn't matters to me. I can get higher actual speed than the stated QoS.This post has been edited by maxcheam: Apr 22 2013, 08:14 PM |

OT a bit: Connectify is doing another project on Kickstarter, it may or may not satisfy your hunger for speed.

QUOTE(jack2 @ May 17 2013, 09:55 AM) Received few PMs asking me how to get the multi-sim. I believe this has been shared before in the old threads but here goes:I will reply here. Initially I went to Maxis Centre and asked about multi-sim and the cost, they told that it is still issuing. Only mutl-line in one SIM is discontinue. Then I applied on the spot and asked will there be any charges other than the RM15 monthly rental for the SIM. I was told NO. I was quite happy as I know it supposed to have data sharing fee per month as per usual plan. The guy who served me told to test it after 2 hours from now. Went back home but 2 hours has passed but still can't. I already suspected something. Haha.. then it is true... he said might have additional rental charges for sharing data and he needs to check with KL... I am still waiting.. but I believe it is colder than water. We'll still be able to get new Multi-SIMs from Maxis but it will no longer be allowed to do data sharing with the primary SIM. If you want to use data on the new Multi-SIMs, you'll have to subscribe to individual data plan or the pay-as-you-use data plan. I'm not sure if we should pin this information on the 1st few posts as this is not a thread dedicated for Multi-SIMs. Hope it helps. |

it's normal for them to do this, you'll easily find them in huge events. One good example would be PC Fairs where all the telcos try to hard sell their product. At such crowded area, I don't think they can show you their "nice" speed tests and convince you to sign up without these setup.

QUOTE(garytey @ Jun 26 2013, 02:15 PM) i cant access to server hosting by maxis public ip(unetp), from maxis's own mobile network(mobile internet and broadband), all other telco's internet or streamyx access with no problem, anyone have any idea? that is by design. I'm using a VPN service to connect to another server before accessing to my server hosted by Maxis Public IP (unetp) at home. |

QUOTE(garytey @ Jun 26 2013, 02:40 PM) i read your complaint, but your issue is you can access only with maxis but not other operator right? that was when Maxis is having nationwide issue with unetp. The technical team said that by right, I shouldn't be able to do it. After they've fixed the issue, it has return to what you're experiencing now. You just have to find an alternate way of accessing the hosted servers via another provider's connection.hmn... and they dont bother to reply your complaint? |
