so when hit human, it will explode like melons
thats the point, long distance shot, no need close distance combat, less fatality
somemore kill shot if the sniper is accurate
if our intention isn't to kill them, we would have used BB guns or bean bag gun to wound them

only used for extremely long distances though, short range theyre still using old M40s or M24s

longer distances requires more heavier round so less affected by wind and have enough power to kill the targets. .50 after like 1km will hit just like any 7.62mm rounds edi (lessen the gore and dismemberment)

The purpose of .50 Cal Sniper Rifle is using as Anti-material rifle, like shooting the car's engine hood to immobile the car.

Seldom use to shoot people, unless is using it at very long range.
