Well, patch 2.0.5 of WoL is bout 1GB for me, but then I hadn't played since November I think. Then the preload is another 5GB and the post-HotS patch is another 50 or so MB.

Maybe the CD contain base WoL installation file only?

No. Up-to-date means you have to update WOL yesterday night. I left my launcher updating yesterday night. Today I upgrade to HOTS just 30 mins using the DVD..

I dunno why everytime have to manually download ....2xxmb....

Yes this is what happen to me as well. No big download whatsoever after using the disc to install the game, 30 minutes finished.

Another thing to note is that did you guys update the original game before this. Wings of Liberty had a big update recently 4-5gb if not mistaken, maybe bigger. Problem with the update is that it doesnt show on your progress screen like the optimization update, its kind of hidden and you guys need to check it from the download option instead. So what most people did is that when the progress bar shows the optimization update is complete they closed the launcher because did not notice this. I myself only found about this after reading here in this forum.

currently dl the 4gb patch for WOL since last night till now...1mb connection only lol

no idea why u guys still need to update. my wol was update last 2 night, after i upgraded to hots, i can still directly play, no addition download required...

Hey guys, just to inform after i completely updated the WOL yesterday whole night.. it straight can play HOTS dy lol so what's the HOTS DVD for? Didn't use it also just use the DVD key i think if use the HOTS DVD, it will reinstall and redownload the complete game..perhaps WOL+HOTS lol..thats why i was shocked when see 11GB big file need to download when using HOTS DVD to install...after reconsidering i was stop download on that and wait WOL fully updated...and now can straight play HOTS dy nice experience lol

Yeah, but in reality if a person has an up-to-date WOL, the installation takes only 30 mins from the HOTS DVD, including the downloads..

yeah, i guess that's because they didn't dload the latest WOL updates...
