Hi all..just got my HotS today. When ready to install, it shows the setup bar to download 11GB data @@ yesterday was wait for WOL update with 4GB and today need wait for 11GB again. Pissed off man! Anyone facing it too?

i also don't know what is wrong with blizzard why do we need to DL anymore since there is already a DVD with everything inside...

I think it's because the contents in DVD is not up to date. Maybe they already printed the DVD a month ago. As Blizzard is making changes to the game every week, no choice but to wait for the download..

I think the total 11GB is including the installation from DVD. Maybe DVD 6-8GB, the rest the download for updates. That means total time of installation for Unifi 5Mbps would be 1-2 hours. Correct me if I'm wrong.. hehe

if digital u hv to download all 11GB. If DVD, only 3-4GB from the internet.
Pure 11GB download from a 5Mbps Unifi would take about 5-6 hours.
Better use DVD..

Another theory is that the 11GB is the total size after decompression of the source file.

The compressed file would be only 4-5GB...

Hahaa just now i open WOL.. the main page was totally change to HotS and can build new units such as Hellbat..hmm but i havent download complete..maybe the time i activated the game key then it already unlock the new unit for me? Just when i want to play HotS campaign..it need streaming..perhaps the 11GB things is for campaign? I'm not sure too hahaa..lets see how

lol, just received my cd key from heavyarm, entered the key, downloaded 4gb and i can straight away play edi...

Hurm dont think the file is that big. I got my copy this afternoon, left it for install for maybe around 30 minutes and can play already, Unifi 5mb user, dont think 4gb download would finish in 30 minutes. But I always check and let the launcher update if there is any before the game release. Also check prior to starting the game there is no background download whatsoever.

Edit : I installed using the disc via setup menu of course

my file is 4gb because im downloading the whole thing digitally (no dvd).

4gb should be the size for the whole Heart of the swarm.

I assume those who had 11gb update are those who do not have wings of liberty INSTALLED prior to the installation of HotS.

I already installed WOL in pc before purchasing HotS. Maybe as soul_fly9900 say always need to check and let the laucher update for new data patch.

Currently have 2 laucher now which is:

- WOL (Downloading previous remaining patch....)



- HoTs ( Installing and downloading BIG data lol...)



just FYI..for those slow connection and wish to play asap..you can go to laucher option -> Download preferences and tick the first one. This allow you able to play but some game data part may need stream during gaming. So...depends on player la hahaa..i choose to wait slow laaaa 1 mbps gonna change to unifi!!

First download 5xx mb...after redeem the code... download 2xxmb now.... dunno what will happen next..Zzzz
