Oh sorry! My mistake. Thanks BBXiong.

Still no logging into Waze server today. There are other N9/N900 users having the same problem in maemo.org. It looks like our unofficial Waze client has been blocked or rendered inoperative.

No os updates, no bug fixes, almost no new apps and even existing apps can stop working. Just lost all my SMS messages due to a known os bug. What am I doing here? Time for a Galaxy S4?

so far whatsapp is ok, except that sometimes it suddenly just stuck at connecting... and wil need to quit the app and start again, which takes few minutes.

still hoping to either get nitdroid or sailfish on this phone someday soon, but i'm really getting impatient nowadays

I'd like to say, concept wise, N9 has brought some impact to the smartphone OS world. It has introduces swipe apps, which is now being widely adopted by BB10, and also social integration directly to your inbox, which now has also been used in WP. rclxms.gif

If I remembered correctly, N9 is also one of the earlier phones to have integration on sharing on gallery to social network. It is sad to see Nokia to abandon such great potential, although, from the company point of view, more money will be thrown to this OS for development and bug fix purpose. blink.gif

For an everyday smartphone, N9 fares average, some due to the OS itself, while some due to the change of time. Messages can sometimes take time to show, my screen will light up, and i'd have to wait 2-3 seconds, or sometimes up to 5, for the sms to appear in my lock screen notification. While it's annoying, sometimes I just treat it as a teaser from my phone to me. For phone calls, however, while the lag issue remains sometimes, I'd say it's rather annoying, sometimes you press to answer, but the phone either lags and waited a few seconds to connect your call, or it ignored your previous command and you have to hit the button again to answer your call. shakehead.gif

It does not have the best browser, nor a powerful chip, but it gets its job done. However, as time changed, many apps has been updated on other platform, while ours stayed old and outdated.
Facebook, for example, is one of the example. With so many updates and optimization for other platform, with faster loading and more features, the facebook on N9 stayed almost the same, with a few minor feature addition.
The absence of whatsapp, especially nowadays, felt like a missing limb for a human in smartphones, fortunately, there are some open source port. While that is usable, it still somewhat lacks stability, and might refuse to connect at times. rclxub.gif

Overall, there are so many great features despite the bugs that the OS have, but as time flows, other OS are getting polished, while MeeGo stayed the same, and gets old as times passes. It's sad to see Nokia abandoned such wonderful and potential OS, while it could do so much more.

Last, but definitely not least, screw you Elop for making that decision to use WP mad.gif

just a random post from me as a N9 user smile.gif

damn, my N9 went swimming in my washing machine 2 weeks back, after putting it in dry rice, it seems to have some difficulty turning on. I am convinced that it's not damaged( at least not the main board) as I am able to connect to PC, and use Flasher to flash everything again. Not sure what other area i should check, but prolly just leave it sleeping there until i got budget to fix it i suppose

Yeah,it's the most hackable phone I have now and I love hacking, well, I guess I might be getting honami after this, taught now using blackberry z10 loan unit, the user experience is good, tidiness of iOS and option to somewhat customize like android a bit, plus is compatible with some converted android apps, I'd say very solid experience , except that it is priced too high

z10 juz copy buta 2 from N9, nothing so surprise me IMO. Plus it has a lots of bug and sometimes lag for no reason. I got the developer edition to test b4 it reach Malaysia previously, pretty much disappointing i must say.

some minor bugs, yes, however, I do not face much random lags from almost 2 weeks of usage from now, apart from apps that are converted from apk, maybe some software updates already got some of those fixed.?

Although I dont deny it copies a lot from N9, it does have a very neat UI, compared to android IMO, at least the notifications are easier to access, and no matter the screen size it should be much problem, as oppose to Android where u need to reach all the way up. IMO it's a capable OS, dragged down by its own branding and their stupid pricing point.

I kinda like the Z10, the only problem I have, for heavy user like me, the battery suffers to last even for more then half a day, which is a torture to me
