Hi guys, FYI, don't throw away your faulty olympus kitlens (14-42mm)

I just helped my friend get a new unit with RM 250 (1 year warranty) under Olympus exchange program, when sending the faulty lens for service.

I walked in to send the broken one (warranty expired) for service and look for possible repair. Few days later, they called me for quotation to repair about RM247 but telling me there is a exchange program which you can pay Rm250 to get the exact same 14-42 lens (newer version) with 1 year warranty more

of course, I go for new lens

currently using EM-5. I like both lens but prefer sharpness of 20mm but heard the AF not works smooth as previously if putting it with EM5..

guys my house broke in and new EM5 gone again.

Pls let me know if someone posting EM-5 without lens caps for sale and with extra battery. Pls help me take an eye...

Mark 2, cheapest i can find need about 5399 (almost 1.4k for wifi, tilt flash and screen)

the reason I go with olympus/panasonic, more accessories since they are in market quite sometimes.

Hopefully oly+pana can speed up their upgrade roadmap especially on sensor part.

Maybe get an used EM5 for wedding photo shooting purpose first , quite urgent.

Has found one RM 2200 (OMD5+12-50mm+20mm panny) with shutter count 7k no more warranty unsure which to go. Home minister not approve my budget on OMD5+PRO

thanks for the suggestion. Heard quite some negative feedback on OMD5+20mm panny combination especially slow focus. Unsure how bad is it.

Consider weather proof is quite important for me as I go waterfall go hiking quite often.

I previously owned EPL1 + 20mm (I survive even without interchanging lens for 1 year). It is really light and easy carry everywhere combination and good for street camera. I still remember I was the one who always carry it for hiking while most of my friends abandoned their heavy dslr at home.

After it was stolen and get myself OMD5 which not even half year and more than 500 shutter count was stolen again! This made me real sad trying to quit photography and survive with iphone 5 till lately my bro requests me to become his wedding photographer.

btw, 17mm f1.8 is really a good beast happy with sharpness and focus speed
