Here's a tip to save some money on weight plates.

You don't have to buy a lot of rubber coated plates. Just get the rubber coated ones for your biggest weights. The rubber ones are usually bigger, therefore it hits the ground first, cast iron one never actually touches the ground.

Can't really remember man. Rough estimates, got mine from Kettler, so naturally I paid more (dumb thing to do)

10kg rubber plates costed around RM120~150+-

10kg cast iron RM100+-

5kg cast iron RM50+-

2.5kg cast iron RM25+-

1.25kg cast iron RM10~15

Saber, are you trolling or just wanted to increase your post count?

Do you really need to open this thread, when you already knew the answer?

Okay here goes nothing... my reason for saying so was based on your posting here
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1323204/all

First, you already realize there is such a older thread, then why you need to open a new thread?

Second, since you had obviously posted there, you would had realize what is the going price.

And you had read thru the whole thread you have realized where are the places to get new plates.

AGain, check out smartlife as I had mentioned on that thread. They go like RM6/kg

PS: most of us here, are kind enough to helpout, as long as newbies dont act funny!
