QUOTE(joytest @ Mar 15 2013, 11:24 PM) Added. You also have a record on post 8 Haha sorry bout the mistake, i was thinking what word to use before typing, didnt know the correct word is psyched. Thanks. The correct word is "psyched" pronounced as "saik'd" - to mentally prepare someone for something "psycho" is a short form for "psychopath" = ie a very mentally ill person, perhaps with destructive tendencies Again a VERY common Manglish problem. Anyway i have a better record on battery, will post later when reach 1% |

Yea, I greenify nearly all the apps that I dont really use, and on DSBS when my whatsapp groups are not active.
The more you battery juice you can save during standby, the more SOT can be achieved. 7-8+ hours can be done if whole day reading articles or ebook and some light social app usage. 6-7 hours can be done even with some light gaming (I use FPse to play some PS1 games) It all depends on what you do with your phone, i sometimes get around 4-5 hours due to heavy usage, but all i can say is that i don't even need to worry about running out of battery everyday when i go out. Using stock battery and stock rom. |

QUOTE(joytest @ Mar 16 2013, 10:57 AM) Bro, perhaps you can give a bit of writeup on your config, I'll add to #6. Your post here is also added to #6 already under Battery Saver. I disable some stock apps I dont use (e.g samsung apps, google+, allshare, gamehub etc.)I can only suspect, since low level monitoring of Android is a little tough unless one has the time and inclination to run stacktrace/logcat and trace it all the time. This is based on my own understanding of desktop OS operations. Off all autosync, click/typing/lock sounds, motion, location services when not needed. You can off haptic feedback but I keep it on because I like it. I leave downloaded apps for greenify to do the job (I put nearly all the apps except whatsapp because I use it alot) DSBS on when screen off and times that I dont want receive whatsapp msgs, definately will on when sleep since still can receive calls. Sleep for 7-8 hours only -1% These are just very easy ways to save battery life. For SOT, its really depending on what you do, and really means nothing special like forumer aspire said, you just need to set a longer auto screen off time, and u can see the difference. Basically your device can stay idle on homepage and gaining SOT However, If use it like an ebook reader with minimal surfing and social apps and some light usage games, you can just use edge, still can receive social msgs. This can reach 10 hours SOT. i now have 8 hours and 30 min SOT with 22% battery remaining. Was travelling today so i was reading alot and on edge only. Im aiming to hit 11 hrs SOT but this is for tesing purposes only, my normal usage SOT is around 5-6 hours whole day on wifi or H+ I cant imagine how the battery life will be like if you use like an ebook reader on those battery saving kernels and custom roms. Anyway, im happy as long as my device can last the day without charging. The stats are just for show only Sorry for long post. |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Mar 17 2013, 08:09 AM) Are you trying to troll? Nice one, was about to use cars as comparison. Are u telling me that someone driving 60km/h vs 260 km/h on highway have the same fuel consumption? Then u tell ppl u reach your destination in an hour vs the one driving at 60 reach 3 hours later? Positron My brother and one of my friend drives a VW polo, my bro can achieve 500km on a full tank but my friend only gets 300+km because he drives like a mad racer |

Actually, 1 hour of heavy gaming and the battery remaing 75%, I think its pretty reasonable considering that his wifi is on all the time.
Unless some other phones can get better results playing the same game, i dont see any reason to complain |

the best way is to buy a high quality belt hole puncher, you can punch many hole sizes
or you can find a cobbler to punch a hole for you. |
