Hi all,

I've twisted my knee last Saturday and have check up at Assunta Hospital with this Dr.Eddie Soo. Problem is I found this doctor is blacklisted by my insurance company. Hence, I'm hoping to get second opinion.

The MRI confirmed I have partial Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) tear. Some people suggest operation some said otherwise. Dr. Eddie Soo never gives any firm answer. Always "maybe".

Anyone here had same situation before? Any good doctor to recommend? Thank you.

Best regards,
JC

I hv ACL torn and my cartilage also affected, I have my first advice from Dr Gan Eng Cheng from Damansara Specialist and 2nd advice from Dr. Tay Yong Guan from KL Sports Medicine Centre, both are very good dr, also gave me exactly the same advice.

And, I have my operation with Dr Tay.

anyways, there is no guarantee that your knee would be back as it use to be.

Which insurance company are you using?

For Prudential, you can keep the consultation bills, by seeking 2nd or 3rd opinion before getting warded and surgery performed.

However if after that there is no surgery or any admission that is considered medically necessary, the bills will have to be absorbed by yourself as it is considered for investigative purposes.

The second opinion bills that are related to the case could be claimed up to 90 days (for PRUflexi med medical card holders) before hospitalized.

Thank you for your reply. How was your surgery and is your knee back to 100% function?
