Brand: Any but Samsung, Xiaomi or other phones that doesn't have app drawer.

Budget: Below RM1000, can juice up to RM1300 but see first.

Specs: Prefer Snapdragon 800/801 but other CPU that at least or near the same performance as Snapdragon 800/801 is fine, camera 13MP, secondary don't mind.

Size: At least 5.0-inch or above, but 5.5-inch is more preferable (full hd of course)

Android Version: Android Lollipop, 5.0 or 5.1 is acceptable, with possible newer android upgrade in the future. (Currently stuck with Xperia SP 4.3 Jellybean and feeling upset since the ram management is bad and laggy. Already tried flash to lollipop but most of the rom is laggy and freezing all the time.)

FYI: Considering Asus Zenfone 2 (2GB RAM ver) but scare 2GB RAM won't be enough in the future and the screen is not bright enough especially at outdoor. Also considered OnePlus One but the UI is too plain (I know its close to pure android UI, ).

Ya, I know I sound picky but I plan to use this phone for a long long long long time.

Anyone has an idea of how much a new Samsung galaxy s5 is being sold now? Where's the best place to buy it from - online or otherwise?

Thanks very much for your help.

It's sold for RM 1499 in Satu Gadget Dot Com. Bear in mind this is the Duos version of the phone and it's an import. Also this one was last year's flagship, so you might need to reconsider your choice in case you find it quite expensive to you.

Thanks for the info. Pardon me, but what is a "Duos version"? Do you mean that there is an imported model and a locally assembled one? I don't mind paying this price because I would save more than RM1K for not buying the s6 and the features are still good enough for me.

Btw, are there cheaper alternatives with a camera as good as that of the s5?

The Duos variant was actually dual-SIM and usually imported one has warranty by the seller. I'm not too sure if there's a locally assembled S5, but most possibly there's local warranty included. I'm not too sure about the alternatives though.

been searching around for awhile, it seems like for budget below rm800, the most recommended phones are k3 note and redmi note 2..

Any other selections available for budget RM800 +- RM900?
